 Anime Steals and Deals

**It is highly recommended you check the latest posts in this thread as they will often have the most up to date deals. I will attempt to reflect these sales in the OP, but always check the latest posts.**

Rightstuf

Rightstuf runs studio sales every week, sometimes even twice a week. These range from anime, manga, and even artbooks. Prices are decent, and Rightstuf has amazing customer service. I highly recommend them for that alone.

http://www.rightstuf.com/rssite/main/

You can save an additional 10% off a majority of their items (Including preorders) by buying their Got Anime membership

http://www.rightstuf.com/rssite/action/store/item/Item?ItemName=gotanime1

Amazon

Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon.

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

DVDPlanet / Deep Discount

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

http://www.dvdplanet.com/Pages/Search/Category.aspx?ec=42000

http://www.deepdiscount.com/index.cfm

I highly suggest when you order from them to only order in stock items, and not ones that are backordered. Save yourself the displeasure of having to deal with the headaches. And patience is a must with these sites.

Cheapassgamer

Maybe you will find something here on our own forums! We have a thread dedicated specifically to Anime and Manga for sale from fellow Cags.

Amazon has some stuff on sale

Campione Bluray, Dusk Maiden Bluray, Nakaimo Bluray and Btoom! Bluray for $29.99 each
Grabbed Btoom! Only one left in stock as of now. :D

Also I went ahead and grabbed some stuff on Amazon UK. They got Durarara! now and Fate/Zero on pre order.

The biggest deal was Rurouni Kenshin (live action) which is region free: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rurouni-Kenshin-Limited-Steelbook-Blu-ray/dp/B00EZQOJBQ/ For most of you it will probably be under $20 shipped unless you get sales tax in your state.

Thanks for the heads up on Rurouni Kenshin. Came up to $22 for me

Little Busters Collection 1 is also 29.99, and so is Infinite Stratos but I could swear that it's been cheaper than that price.

Yeah there are more blurays showing up for $29.99

Patlabor Collection 1,2 and 3

Kids on the Slope

La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia

Bodacious Space Pirates Collection 2

Penguindrum Collection 2

Finally tracked down a copy of Anohana Premium Edition. You guys weren't kidding when you said NISA sets were hard to find once they go OOP

Yeah but how much do I have to throw down to read it? $200? $300?
Oh, I was talking about fan-translated online. I doubt we'll see the manga localized here anytime soon.

Is it an accurate telling, or its own story? Because FMP was originally a set of light novels.
It's an accurate telling, as far as I know. I personally haven't read the light novels, but from all accounts of what I was able to find out, the manga is an honest depiction of the light novels, outside of a few differences here and there that are not plot-altering.

Got my copy of Rio: Rainbow Gate, since I had some Amazon credit to waste and since it might be one of MB's last releases. Thankfully they didn't stack pack it, each disc has it's own holder. But it comes in a clear case with the no reversible insert, so you stare at a white piece of paper when you open the case. Just weird to see companies still do that.

AnimEigo still EXISTS!?
Yep, but they mostly do old japanese samurai films now. IIRC before now, their last anime release was Yawara, which 8 years ago. Guessing that the license for Bubblegum Crisis must've been cheap if they were able to do a kickstarter for a BD release.

Ah ok perfect. Yea I'll add it to my list. I've been catching up on The World God Only Knows since the anime didn't cover a big chunk of the manga (why would they do that anyways?? free material to work with...so confusing).

Not sure this counts as anime, but Korra Book 2 Blu-Ray pre-order is $22.49 at Kmart: http://entertainment.kmart.com/legend-of-korra-book-two-spirits/032429147745

This is much better than Amazon's current $35. What makes this really sweet is if you keep up with the free reward points they give out each week for checking the online ads (both Kmart and Sears). I had 11,000 points just from checking the ads the past two or three weeks... I haven't even shopped at a Kmart or Sears in years. Total with tax and shipping came out to $13.23 :)

Odd that my name would be all over something...

Wanted it PM'd on Amazon mostly because I (had) Amazon credit, until they ended up not matching it so I got other crap.
haha all good. At least you got something which is better then nothing. :)

Yugi: Avatar isn't anime.
Big 5: It might as well be.

If anyone wants to know what the set looks like it's basically 3 of the thicker blu-ray cases with an outer box that holds them altogether.

Pretty good price considering how much content there is in that set.

There goes my money, Need to try and hold out for another Section 23 sale!

I'm sooooo picking up Watamote and Love Lab at some point (sale plz). Was Kinmoza any good? I was going to watch it when it was actually airing and completely forgot about it.

I hope they realease Love Lab and Kinmoza! with English dubs one day. Doubt it but...one can wish.

Picked up the Gatchaman set as well as Patlabor OVA and Patlabor TV 1-3 from Best Buy since I had some certificates to burn.

Still debating picking up Penguindrum Pt 2 to complete my set. Only watched one episode so far. Should probably watch Revolutionary Girl Utena first.

awe it's so cute

My eureka seven set boxes like 40 of my series >.>;

I got all of the limited editions of the original release for cheap (like $90 total) so there is something like 16 Eureka 7 art boxs around in my collection (boxes is a loose term as half of them are just inserts for boxes and not true boxes but they still have art and hold anime :p)

very tiny image of the limited sets :p
