Another Infamous Thread - $24.99 New @ EB Games

I was at the Stony Plain EB in Edmonton today and I saw that they were selling Infamous brand new (probably to counteract the BB and FS deals) for $24.99! They were going quick since I left the store and came back half an hour later and 2 copies were already gone from the display shelf. I don't know how long they are going to be selling it for, but I'm assuming it's as long as the BB and FS sale is on.

Er... today's Canada Day, everyone's closed.

The last price change was yesterday, where I was working and it sold for $29.99, I opened and price changes only happen in the mornings, since there's no price changes on a day where no one works this shouldn't be possible.

We're not gonna go apeshit like the RFD guys are and even they're smarter than that =\.
 
I'm pretty sure they dropped the price on the used copies. That's actually the store I always go to since it's on my way home from work. Yesterday I stopped by and they didn't have any new copies but I did manage to finally find a copy of Xenosaga: Episode II for $13.00.

btw: If anyone has a decently priced copy of Xenosaga: Ep 3... PM me :)
 
I tried to get a copy at EB on Tuesday to use up some saved up credit and it seemed like every EB in the Hamilton area was cleaned out already. Any chance you scooped up a few copies J? :D

Well the 2 EBs I went to (Stony Plain and Southgate) were open today, must be an Edmonton (or manager's choice) thing. And I'm 100% sure that Infamous was 24.99 brand new cuz I picked one up lol.
 
& it was sealed and/or no mark on the either side of the disc?

not everyone is closed, bestbuy & futureshop had their downtown locations open in toronto
 
The EB Games I went to changed the price of InFamous to $29.89 on Canada Day. The new price sticker said 7/01/09 so they probably dropped it another $0.10 from Tuesday.
 
They might be thinking it's like Crackdown, once the beta's expired it wont be worth as much.. but I think Infamous has been selling mostly on it's own merits.

It's a Best Buy loss leader for their summer deals promotion, it's only a 3 day sale over Canada Day, EB and Futureshop just decided to price match it for the 3 days, tomorrow it will be back at full price.

Yes it was sealed. Factory sealed. As in brand new lol. I know what a new game looks like ;). It must have been just that one eb on Stony Plain road so YMMV!
 
some one pick me it up ill give 45 shipped, but seriously way to buck the expensive sony exclusive high price tag, although this isnt a sony sale but a retailer sale
 
I can confirm this. Picked up a copy today for $22.49 with my EDGE card in Edmonton.

Also got BlazBlue for 360 through T3 (Trade 3) :)
 
Was thinking of picking up a copy for my brother-in-law .. can anybody confirm if this game is still on sale anywhere today? (July 3)
