I posted over at Fantasy Baseball Cafe, but thought I would check here too!
This is our first year to designate keepers, so you will not be starting handcuffed
Amazing points system (see end of this OP), slick contract keeper system, low cost, fun 100% payout categories, competitive group of guys. We are currently at 8 confirmed owners (league had 12 last year). Two owners are new in 2012 and are mulling over which team to take over. We are going to have 2 brief forum drafts as soon as we fill up (at 10 or 12).
Rules: http://www.theunionofconcernedgamers.com/?page_id=2 The only rule change for 2012 is we will be going to a FAAB system

Keeper Rules
Each team may keep 0 – 7 keepers from year to year.
When keepers are designated, you use the (round) assignment if player has one recorded, or put them freely in an unoccupied (round) assignment if player does not have a (round) assignment recorded.
Each team has a keeper salary cap of 10 points which is only checked at designation of keeper time. An individual players keeper salary is determined by subtracting their (round) assignment from 5. (5) costs 0, (6) costs -1 and (7) costs -2.
Following keeper designation, there is a 2 round, offline snake draft (draft #1) reverse order of finish previous season where in the first round if you have an opening in your (6) round assignment, you can either take a team that drafts AFTER you in this round (6) player or you may pass. The second round is the same concept but with (7) round assignment players.
Following draft #1, teams will have between 0 – 7 players kept. Draft #2 is held (offline), snake + reverse order of finish from previous season. This is a 7 round draft where if you have an opening in that (rounds) assignment you must draft a FA. No opening, you must pass for that round.
Following draft #2, all teams have 7 players and league records the (round) assignment for each team’s players. Every player not on a team has their (round) assignment set to NULL (cleared).
Draft #3 is just on online Yahoo draft where you fill your team to twenty something players.
At the end of each season, decrease recorded players (round) assignments by – 1 for players still on the roster of the originally recording team. The minimum (round) assignment is (1).
