I'm wanting to buy FIFA 2011 and NFS : Hot Pursuit. Both EA games. Do you think there's a good chance EA will do another deal like that?

I know dell did a $20 off NCA2011. How about them ?

I know it's impossible to really know but maybe someone can let me know if they think someone is going to have a good deal for any of those games before Gamestop steals my money.

Yea , patient is the main thing. I allways get impatient and then pre-order it from Gamestop and some other website has much better deals.
 
My main problem is that I ordered a few games back during that PAX East promotion. One of the games I ordered was Dead Space for 360. After hearing about the PS3 version getting the bonus Extraction I wanted to changed my order to the PS3 version. I called and they said they couldn't do it, which makes no sense. The guy then goes ahead and cancels my order and issues me a $20 coupon code. I tell him the PAX order also included free shipping (which is a big deal since EA screws you with $7 even for the cheapest) and again he tells me there is nothing he can do about shipping costs. Again I call b.s. I then tell him that maybe I want to stick with my order and he tells me he already canceled it even though I never told him to. He apologizes and gives me another $20 coupon code.

The codes are cool and all but shipping on the EA store kills it. If they would even just offer some free shipping deal or something I'd be golden.

I'd like to re-order Dead Space and get NFS as well.
 
Yeah, I'd want a discount code and free shipping. Last year was great because they would do free release day shipping and they didn't charge tax. Sadly, I get the double whammy now. I had a $15 discount code, recently, but when I factored in $7 for shipping, then tax, I was only saving about $3 then if I were to go with Amazon. :cry:

I don't purchase sports games but I will want NfS:HP and can be patient for that one. Backlog keeps me patient. :D
 
My backlog keeps getting longer and longer too, so I really shouldn't even bother with pre-ordering anymore games for a while, but I think that's the only way I manage to keep the local GS taking multiples when I get insane deals on some titles that're good flips.

But I also find myself trading back in games that're on my backlog because I just know I won't get to them till 3-5 months from now, so I know by then they all should be cheaper to pick back up.
 
Yea , I already picked up NCAA 2011 ( Love it BTW ) , I was just wondering if maybe EA will be doing another deal so I can pick up FIFA 2011 and Need For Speed.

I guess only time will tell.
 
EA needs to wake up. I can't imagine they sell many games on their store. If they want to compete with the likes of Gamestop, Amazon and others they need to do something about their shipping at least.
