Any deals on a premium 360?

Anyone know if any stores are running any kind of sale on premium 360s? Or know of any store with coupons I can apply to same product? Wanting to pick one up, but really hoping not to drop 400. Thanks in advance!

To be honest, with the failure rate of the 360, I'm really hesitant to buy one used without a warranty. When was yours purchased and is it covered by any warranty?

I too would like to know if there are any deals on 360s right now. I know there have been some great ones in the past and I only hope some are still going on.

I would also love to know a deal on a 360. It could be in the States or in Canada. Toys R Us is out of the question though .

I'm in the market for one as well; my launch unit finally crapped out yesterday and I would rather just buy a new one that go through the whole warranty "sent, wait, wait, wait, receive... return again because they didn't really fix it, wait, wait, receive, rinse and repeat"

The initial failure rate isn't nearly as high as you read on the internet.

I would just drop the $400 for a new one and then you don't have to worry about getting an old one or one that has been refurbished. The machine is worth the money...especially if you have a high speed internet connection and HDTV. I wasn't using either when I first got mine and still enjoyed. Its a hell of a lot better now though.

I think it was the first batch (pre-2006) that have the incredibly high failure rate. I was one of those people who posted "well I have a launch console and I've had no problems" But in the end, I think that most of these consoles will crap out within the first 2-3 years.

Looking for a deal as well - had a launch console that I offloaded quickly when problems started running rampant. A little cautious right now with all the Zephyr and price drop rumors flying around too...might not be an issue if the deal is decent enough, but I'm almost tempted to wait a few months.

I hate waiting. :)

I'm looking to get one myself, I wonder if a price drop will happen soon? It's unfortunate I didn't get a 360 when they had that $100.00 rebate going on.

This is one of the reasons I'm afraid to invest in a 360. I'm more interested right now in the old Xbox games, but feel that buying a used one may have the same result of me finding one that won't last for more than a few years.

Most of the games I'm interested in are the ones that are already backwards compatible like Shenmue II, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe/Sonic Mega Collection +, Megaman Anniversary Collection, and the Halo games.
Do you think I should just wait for a pricedrop on the X360 and hope for the backwards compatibilty list to increase or should I pick up a used Xbox for $100 from my local Gamestop?
