any deals on Trauma Center?

Hmm. It's an Atlus game that's likely to have a relatively low print run, and a demand spike later on. I'd pay your $30 and be glad you're not paying $40 (like say for, Lunar).

Best Buy gets it in Friday, try and use the $10 off coupon people are using with some success... it is YMMV though.

If anything, can always use a regular $5 coupon to get it for $24.99.

Really -- are you expecting a sell-out? I never knew anything of atlus before becoming a CAGger, so I'm no expert, but I wouldn't expect stock problems on a non-RPG game. I think this game has a high novelty factor and a concept easily grasped by casual and non-gamers, so it could sell pretty well.

I plan to buy this game, and probably pretty soon b/c I love my DS so much, but do I need to be in a hurry about it?

These are often hard to pick, as it's hard to tell if the game will resonate with a group of people... but this is the type of game where most store will only get a small number of units of the SKU, and after an intial period of high availablity, they could dry up rather quickly... or die on the shelf.

It all depends on the print run the game has, and how many people want it.

You will be lucky to find this game at all, much less find it at a best buy or a store other than ebgames, gamestop or gamecrazy, i have a copy on preorder at ebgames so i will get it for sure.

Atlus games typically have low print runs as the other posters suggested, my suggestion with ANY atlus game is to preorder at a reliable store or preorder online at a reliable store (such as ebgames.com, or ebgames B&M), especially if you really want the game.

I would stay away from pre ordering at gamestop, what they do is put the piece of paper in a box with the others, and if the game comes in you get it, and if it doesnt come in you dont get it, i have been screwed out of a few atlus games from gamestop cause "the game didnt come in".

Ebgames puts your order into the computer and then it registers as store x needs at least one copy of game x for a person's preorder, so even if the store is never scheduled to recieve a shipment of game x they will get one copy just for you cause you preordered it.

actually at gamestop, the preorder does go though the computer system..just your credit stays in the little box. If a preordered games doesn't come in, the manager on duty is suppose to call his DM and report it and get the customer a copy from a different store overnighted. at least that's how we do it in new orleans (you know...when we have stores not underwater) on my nationwide roadtrip to get away from here in the last month, I've seen some really really shitty gamestops...not that it matters much, in 3 short months we'll have EB's lovely computer system anyway.

you need it for castlevania and advance wars...and nintendogs if you're into that.

Dont get nintendogs, it gets boring in about a week, you wont want to touch it after that, cause its just a non motivating and boring game.

Save your money for some of the better titles coming out, i got nintendogs free at ebgames for trading in 4 crappy gba games, so no loss to me really, just a few crappy games.

Ok, as for the gamestop thing, what happened to me is i ordered Demikids for gba right (one of the best gba games imo), anyways when i went to pick it up they said the game never came in, then the manager said that he was gonna drive to another store (about 30 min away) and get it for me and that i would have it within a day or two. Well i kept asking him where my game was (this went on for like a week) and he kept saying, oh ill go tomorrow for it, oh i didnt get a chance today etc. Finally i just gave up, i went to ebgames and bought it off the shelf, thankfully they had it. Thats the last time i ever preorder a game from gamestop, frankly i should have gotten the game for free given all the trouble i went through. I guess they want you to give up and go to another store just so they dont have to do the extra work.

Also at a different gamestop, i ordered hamtaro gbc, same story, game never came in, cept this time i never was offered an overnight shipment or whatever you said they do, i was just handed my 5$ back and was told, sorry the game never came in (and i walked out without my game that i had made a special trip to this store for). This time i was able to buy the game at target down the street, thankfully they had it.

what is this $5 coupon you speak of?? links?

Oh yeah forgot to mention, media play has a 5$ off any game 29.99 and over this week, ends on the 8th i think, so if you see a copy at a media play near you, provided you have a media play near you, you can get it there for 24.99 no coupons or anything else needed, just walk in and buy the game.

It's the Gamer gift card. there is thread on it somewhere here. do a search for Gamer gift card or GGC.

they are usually found by the register or in the game section itself. it's a coupon for $5 off of a game purchase of $19.99 or more. the catch is you're supposed to put money on the gift card that comes with the coupon. i want to say there is a $5 minimum now on the card, but i've just put a cent on it before (flame on). i suggest putting $5 on the card, buy it, then turn around and use the card, with coupon, to buy whatever game it is you want.
