just wondering if there is any differences in the maps. thinking about getting the three month starter kit, but if the maps and the game are the same I will wait for a deal on the year long starter kit
The two games are suppose to be vastly different in maps and interface. Many people complained about RS6-3 for the PC. The complaints were heard and the two seem like completely different games.
I loved the PC version. I just do not know how the game would control with a controller instead of a keyboard and mouse
Go to best buy and pick up the tom clancy demo disc for $.99, it has a demo of rs3
I have the demo. I never got a chance to play it though as I had to send my Xbox into Best Buy as it was broken (scratching games, making wierd noises, etc.)
If you're really biased against the controller for FPS, you'll probably still enjoy the PC version better. On the other hand, if you just aren't that comfortable using a controller with FPS's, a slower more deliberately paced game like this would help you get used to it. It is still one of my favorite games to play co-op with my friends.
I did enjoy the XBox version, but actually moreso in singleplayer than multiplayer. I just can NOT get into FPSing online against people with a controller, unless it's designed with the controller in mind like Halo is.
The XBox one is slimlined (although I wouldn't say "dumbed down" very much) from the PC one as well.
I finally got a chance to play the Xbox version when a friend brought it over and told me to give it a shot. The game has the same basic story, and it appears the missions are similar as well. However, in the Xbox version, you have only one four man team (in the PC, you have up to eight guys, and up to three teams). I didn't play it on Live, but I think I prefer the PC version.

Its the other way around the xbox version looks vastly superior. They put in the same lighting engine from splinter cell.

What are you talking about? I didn't even make any comments about how it looked. Nothing is "the other way around."

Well you were talking about the game in general so graphics are included.
I have both versions, and although the concepts are the same, the executions are are vastly different. XB version is more splinter cell in the way it looks of course), while raven shield looks like friggin rogue spear updated (like its supposed to).
