I am trying to get some games cheap on EBay. Anyone have any pointers on what is the best way to keep games (360) cheap. They always seem to balloon in price in the last 5 mins.... Obviously this is how Ebay works... I am a poor cheap ass gamer:) Any pointers are appreciated.
Thanks

Yes. You should start by posting this thread in the ebay forum.

Wrong forum. But honestly you can find awesome deals just browsing around this forum instead of eBay. In at least 3 of Speedy's threads within the past 2 months or so, there have been postings of all the top 360 games going for $39.99 at one point or another at BB, CC, and Target. Games like Gears of War, Marvel, Viva Pinata ($24.99), Tony Hawk, Splinter Cell, etc.

buy in lots

when looking for a specific game, such as gears of war, search "gears of war -xbox" in order to catch the ones that fail to mention xbox 360 in the title. its a long shot.

try searching for auctions that end at strange hours (3AM) or on weekends, typically you can find items slightly cheaper then. Also auctions that aren't very descriptive and lack a picture are often cheaper.

Setting up snipes on a group of auctions is probably the best chance to get something at a good price. Any good snipe service will let you group a set of auctions such that once you win one it cancels your snipes on the later ones.

But you also need to look at completed auctions. If the lowest one out of hundreds (excepting too low BINs) ended at $40 shipped and you only want to pay $35 shipped, that's probably never going to happen.

If you really have a lot of free time you can constantly search for newly added BINs and jump on one that someone lists too cheap. That definitely happens here and there but the good ones are snapped up within an hour or faster.
