Any Florida CAGs here

I'm in Tampa. According to the latest storm tracks we are not in the direct path of either one but you never know what will happen.

we'll here's hoping for them weakening quick and avoiding you guys! Hope they miss ya (and don't hurt anyone for that matter)

yeah, i'm in tampa..........i have a feeling the schools and stuff here will be closed on friday.......maybe i won't have to go into work.......hope there isn't any real bad damage, though

do you guys (if you are in harms way) have to do anything to prepare such as the plywood, or move stuff? I face blizzards here but those are hardly ever deadly as long as one doesn't go out.. hurricanes though... glad I don't have to face em.

Eh, I live near Tallahassee, which according to a map I saw earlier, is basically straight in the middle of where it's heading. I'm not particularly concerned as hurricanes have yet to cause me any sizable problems in the past, nor do I expect them to in the immediate or distant future.

Whoa, they're heading straight for Tallahassee? Oh well, all the hurricanes and stuff that come here so far have never been sizable. Actually, I didn't know about this until today.
just one is headed up there.
Yep, just one.

Flooding isn't exactly common in my area so my primary concern is tossed out the window. I'm a big fan of rainstorms so I kind of look forward to the whole thing. Keeps the world dark and rainy for a while.

no need to worry about Charlie. I'll sit outside my (miami) house and i'll will his ass away. Or that's what my family tells me to do o_O

the last i heard it is heading closer to tampa......and there is also a chance that it could become a category 3 hurricane now........now i'm getting a little worried

I am in Homestead Florida, and we are preparing. Mainly we are dealing with the "refugees" from the Florida Keys, Hotels are booked etc. Since I am with the Homestead Police Dept, we have operations stepped up a bit as well, and should Chuck decide to visit, i'll be on some nice 12 hour action @ time and a half on my Day off. But if he does come Yasumicon (Floridas only free Anime Con) may be cancelled...Curse you chuck... $$ or Anime Con...? AUGH!
Florida here too but they never hit Jacksonville. We're in a nice little turn lane for those storms.
Tim Degan said that one of the arms might hit us. I'm staying inside with my XBL all the same

Uh oh, here comes Charley! Luckily, I am not in an evacuation zone.

TAMPA, Fla. - Nearly a million residents and tourists were told Thursday to get out of the way of a rapidly strengthening Hurricane Charley, while its weaker sister, Tropical Storm Bonnie, blustered ashore in the Florida Panhandle.

Charley, which had pumped up to nearly 105 mph by early afternoon, was expected to hit the state's west coast Friday, possibly bringing heavy rain, swirling tornadoes and a storm surge of up to 12 feet to the Tampa Bay and Fort Myers areas.
