Any Good Deals On Final Fantasy 7 AC 2 disc collectors?

I preordered it back in December at CD Universe for $34.97 + $2.99 shipping - $10 Google Checkout = $27.96 shipped. I just checked though and they raised the price to $36.96 + $2.99 shipping, but if you are able to get the $10 new account bonus from Google Checkout, it would take it down to just under $30, which is the cheapest I could find. The next cheapest I know of is Amazon at $34.99.
 
So, the only difference is this one comes with post cards? That is the only difference I can see. Surely, there is something else? Especially for the price.

The one coming out on the 20th is on DVD.

I think it's basically exactly the same as the previous release... only this time, the 'Last Order' half-hour anime is included with the extras. (I'm sure the 'complete' thing you found will just be a way to milk even more money out of us with a blu-ray release later on.)

I just know I'm glad I skipped the inital offering... I'm honestly more interested in getting the Last Order short than the movie itself. ;)

You are forgetting whatever costs you did spend on the original if you are willing to speak for the money gained from selling it.
 
I bought the first release for $5 new...and love the movie. Don't know if I want to spend the $$$ on this. Anyone know how limited it actually is?

Thanks for the pic, eau! I was curious as to what the postcards would look like. But I'm surprised Cid gets his own card, I would have guessed Aerith or Vincent over him. But I only see 9 postcards, so who knows what #10 is. I'm disappointed the DVD itself has the same cover. I wish they would have used the cover from the LE box or something new.

Can't wait to read "Case of Tifa"! I've read it online, but it will be nice to have it in a book. I really like the story. But I could be biased since Tifa is my favorite character. :lol:

I just learned the novel includes a brand new, never-before-released Barret story. That should be interesting, but I thought "Case of Tifa" already explained fairly well what Barret is up to. I would rather read a "Case of Cid" (about his relationship with Shera & how he got the new airship) or "Case of Red XIII" (since he seems to get gypped a lot).

I would think the Blu-ray release would have all the film extras including Last Order since most of them were only in Advent Pieces originally, but who knows. I'm sure this is going the only way to get a hold of the novel and the other items. Except for Last Order and maybe the deleted scenes, I think more people are interested in those than the DVD/movie itself and the new bonus features.

Any good deals in-stores? I see that Wal-Mart and Target has it preordered for like 40 bucks. Any chance they will sell it for that price tomorrow?
 
I saw a copy at Suncoast yesterday. The box is essentially the same type as that of the Spiderman 2 gift set.
 
So I decided to get this...I don't know why considering this will be my 4th copy. Anyhow, the 10th post card in my set is Barret?! Does that hold true for whoever else bought this?! I'm just a bit sad to see that the same cover was used for the DVD case. I mean seriously...couldn't they have done a better job since this was the limited collector's edition. Yeah...so I guess I'm satisfied with another Advent Children movie.
