The original vitas can usually be found on ebay for around $100 for just the console and power cable. 2nd gen vitas are usually more.
And the difference between the two is that the 2nd is thinner, has 1gb internal memory (can't use if you put a memory card in). And the lcd changed from oled to lcd.
New borderlands bundles are usually on sale for around $180. But you may want to wait for black Friday if your going for a new bundle.
