Looking for a total of 10-16 owners, we will either go with a first come/first serve system on the teams, or do a draft when we have all the owners.

I thought Madden had online leagues? If not I think it'd be too complicated. Anyways, I might do it, gonna give Madden a rent and see if its any good.
 
I'd be interested, not sure if I'll have Madden, but I got NCAA right now. May do that BB deal and I"ll have Madden soon. Can anyone that has it tell me if passing is a pain without the vision thing? I kinda wanna turn it off and don't want broke passing if so.
 
I actually like the passing. It cuts down on the garbage throws at the last second and forces you to really plan your pass plays.

I'd be in for a Madden League as well. I would like the Falcons or Chargers in that order of preference.

I say we do a full 32 team league and play the real schedules once per week.

Madden does have full online leagues...we would just need to set it up and someone send out the invites/passwords

32 people will never work (as great as it would be if it could). We can barely get a 10 person league to work. If we're doing this, we need to start small and grow as the seasons get completed.
 
Um, you guys realize most of you will have to PAY to create and join the leauge. I had enough trouble getting enough committed people to join last years FREE ESPN league. If it is pay to play for Madden, youve got a big challenge ahead of you.

If you cut through all the fog that is that site, you ll start noticing this "Fantasy" stuff is more like Yahoo sports or CBS Sportlines REAL fanstasy football.

For example (from the rules):

Live Draft
The live draft option allows you to control every athlete who is placed on your 15-man roster. The draft will last 15 rounds and draft order will be randomly selected prior to the draft. The order in which team owners draft reverses in each successive round, so that the owner who drafts first in the first round will draft last in the second round, and so on.
You will have 90 seconds to draft an athlete in each of the 15 rounds. If you do not select an athlete within the time limit, an athlete will be chosen for you. If you can't participate in the live draft, you will have the option to rank all athletes in order of preference and have our auto-draft draft for you. The auto-draft will look at both an athlete's position and ranking before making a selection. The computer looks to see which starting positions you need to fill, then selects the highest-rated athlete to fill one of those positions. If you do not rank athletes, you will be provided a set of default rankings based on last season's point totals. So, if you are given a receiver in the first round, another will not be selected until all your other starting positions are filled. If you choose to rank athletes and not participate in the live draft, the positions from which you will be drafting and the number of athletes you will draft at each position are as follows

Why the hell would you need to draft only 15 players if its a football Sim league a la ESPN 2k5?

Id also like to remind you of the big deal Madden made about the leagues last year being sponsored and paid for by Dodge. Ive heard nothing of a sponsor and EA isnt really being forthcoming about their league stuff (wouldnt you hype the hell out of it if it were a free feature?)

Like I said, I could be wrong. I hope like hell Im wrong. But its looking very sketchy right now. Hmm...


*Edit* Ok. Nothing in this article makes it seem like Madden ownership and use is required to join this Fantasy league. It seems a seperate thing completely.

Now, Ill be the first to admit this is LAST years version. However, why would EA go from charging $20 or making you agree to get superspammed by Dodge to giving it away free THIS year when they are the only game in town?

Im not saying its not possible but can anybody else see how that would be counter intuitive?
 
Anyone know what this PRODUCT REGISTRATION CODE its asking for when you sign up for PREMIUM PASS?? It seems its sponsored by DODGE Again.

All Dodge things ended as of Aug. 1st. Its my belief that its now pay to play because it seems they set us up last year to do it to us this year. Time will tell but in my eyes it aint looking good.
 
Ok I am back been away for a few days I would be willing to do a 12-15 Madden 2006 XBox league. Once we get the owners together we should maybe do a draft just to pick teams, if not I call the Colts.
 
Well, I got the game. I'm still interested in a league, but if some of you are interested in a smaller 6 man franchise type of thing let me know. We'll do the think where we share the save file and play with the cpu and such.
 
I'm on my friend's account right now because I'm at his house and don't want to log him out and me in, but my user is Renegade_Zero and I'd like to be Patriots.
 
Im getting it for ps2...but this sounds interesting, might pick it up for xbox but not sure how that league thing is(free or pay?)
would also like the 1 game a week since im at college =P

It would be free of charge(maybe just keep track of the standing on a blog site or something), and one game a week would be what I would be shooting for. We would use both e-mail and AIM(or MSN) to get our games scheduled, and maybe have a thread in the X-Box forums here to help stay in touch(with a mods permission first, of course).
 
We now have 12 CAG's with a little interest and a team picked, I would be willing to do a 12 team league. Those CAG's please post back if you want in for sure, also anybody else want in please post, and pick a team maybe we could get 16-18 teams going.

LOL, we're as scared of your record as you are of actually picking a team. I mean come on, you even quoted the list of teams that people have picked, did it ever dawn on you the you never picked one lol? And just to confirm for the OP, I'm definitely in for this.
 
So when are we gonna be meeting on XBL? We gonna draft? Or just using teams. If we draft it will be more fun/fair. I don't really care either way, as I have the best defence and not bad offence.

Still waiting for a few more people to confirm their interest, and then we will get going. also, unless there is a conflict with teams we will just keep who we picked when we signed up.

Once I get a few more owners to confirm I will gather up everybodys gamertags, emails, and AIM info and start to get to work on a schedule.
