I am very angry at my RAZR right now, and I really want to get an iPhone. I saw one go on eBay for 200, so if I could get any size, 8gb preferred, for about 200+ shipping that would be great. Thank you in advance.

Are you kidding? I can't find anything more advanced than a 360 in my area. I'll look into refurbs though, are they usually a good quality?
 
If I were you I would consider waiting for just another month. There's a lot of speculation that apple will release a new iphone in June and, if this is so, you'll get either an official price drop from apple or a slew of current iphone users who will sell their current iphone to upgrade. Either way you win.
 
Sweet, I may not buy one till Oct. ish. Plus, one of my friends is going to buy an RC car from me, so that is were most of the cash will come from. Anyways, could someone link to a refurb? I couldn't find it.
 
my brother went to some cell phone shop and bought a 16gb iphone which they jail broke and then had him sign a 1 year contract with tmobile (thats who he wanted, he couldve used att) and he paid $270 or so after CA tax.

he said it wasnt a special deal and they had plenty of phones. apparently theyre buying them from apple then hooking the customer up with the providers kickback to lower the cost of the phone.
 
From now to October is an eternity in the electronics world. Who knows what will be available and if you'll still want an IPhone? I'm guessing your really mad at your Razr but your under contract until much later this year.

My 2 year contract was up in March. I currently have a Razr and it sucks. Actually, it has been sucking ever since I got it (got a 2nd one after first one was "stolen"/misplaced). I have been thinking of getting an iphone. So I may wait until June^ if a new version is coming out. Hopefully, it has a better battery.

*edit* Sorry for borrowing advice meant for you Fatso2027. ;)
 
That's OK, my contract is up in Oct, but the guy said they can do an early upgrade if you are having phone problems. Like, my phone randomly deletes numbers when I change time zones.....it's very annoying.
 
Just an FYI. I currently have the Samsung SYNC A707 and really like it. I've had it for over a year and it still works great and has good battery life, reception, and a ton of features. Pair it would a good Bluetooth Stereo Headset and you are money. It is also an ATT phone, so you won't have to change services. And, it is fairly inexpensive, like 20 bucks I think....

Also, I'm amazed at home many people still aren't familiar with the fact that if you overcharnge your electronics, it kills their batteries. I know too many people running around with dead phones and dead laptops. So, if you are having battery problems, this might be your issue.

This all being said, I'll probably upgrade my phone to something better in the next year or so as well.
 
I've been drooling over the iphone since 3 of my g/f's friends have them now (mid-20s, well off). I'd bite but I've been extremely happy with my verizon service (contract expires next year anyway). The vx10000 doesn't seem to be quite up to par in comparison.

What's the going rate anyway?
 
About 250 on eBay if you wait and get a deal, 400 from apple/Cingular. I think the refurb ones are like 300, and evidently in June there will be a new one that will drop the prices of current sizes 100.

Unfortunately, I am like 90% sure I'm not getting an iPhone now. My brother just got a job offer with Sprint so we will probably switch to them.
