Any issues with Xbox 360 Arcade/Core?

My local Kmart only has the 360 Arcade version and I have a legit 20% coupon for it. I was thinking of picking it up but I have questions?

-Are there any issues with the Arcade version when it comes to adding a Hard Drive? Is it plug and play? Is it that simple?

-Is a refurbished HD from Gamestop worth picking up or should I go with a new one?

-Is there anything else to factor in when owning a 360 Arcade version?

1) Yes, it is that simple. Plug drive in and go.
2) Refurb'd drives are $60 @ EB, though you can sometimes find them around here for the same money. New is $99.99.
3) 360 Arcade doesn't come with component cables, comes with composite cables.
