Part of a xev costume is up for bids (I lost on every other xev costume I've bid on), anyone remember her ever wearing a flower bra/costume? I'm trying to figure out if this costume was ever used in the series. If so, any idea which episode?
 


I looked in two episodes that I thought it might be, xevivor (takes place on an island, parodies survivor) and midsummers nightmate (lots of flowers in this), but it wasn't from those two. Every other costume that's gone up has been between 400 and 900, and I've lost on every single one, some in the last 2 or 3 seconds. This being a partial one would be cheaper, and the guy doesn't seem to know which one it is (he's basically the official lexx ebayer, the official website made an announcement a while back, which is where I first heard of him).

No, which one was it? Was it from figdress? A lot of other people seem to put insane starting bids and every once in a while get a bite. The highest I've seen one go from figdress is 900, and I lost out at the last second. I used to check all the time, but it seemed all the costumes stopped so I stopped checking, I've been checking for the last month or so though once I saw some decent things again.

I bid on a black outfit she wore, though only went up to 350 since it was only on screen for about a minute (went for 400 or so). The blue lizard skin one (from the fourth season) was up a while ago, I bid, I think, about 850 or so, and the same guy outbid me with a few seconds left at 900. One guy had won every xev costume figdress put out there, though I have no idea what his username was (I used to though, I hated that guy so much. I can just imagine this loser in his parents basements, surrounded by xev costumes and jerking off to xev pictures), is this him? I also bid on the whitish blue shirt prince wore in season 3, went up to about 200 or so, lost by about 50 on that. There was a cheap xev costume a long time ago, it was the spacesuit she wore in early season 2, it only went for about 100 or 150, maybe because it was so bulky and not sexy?

Maybe I'll try e-mailing him, though if he has a brain he won't respond, or respond with a no (only an idiot informs a competitor who may drive up the price).

edit: There's a costume from xevivor (looks like it may be xenia herself auctioning it) that was listed twice but didn't sell, was that the one?

Damn, that's the main one. It seems like it was used throught the seasons and they just altered it, I thought they made a new one when they shortened the top. I didn't even realize that was xenia in the picture, just looked like a normal white girl until I read the description then looked again. I wonder if she's struggling a bit, she didn't sell these things when the show was recently ended (probably would have been more popular then), and the porch she's on, and the surroundings, look kinda shabby.

I think that is the guy who kept beating me before though, he seems to have a lot of figdress feedback from that summer (I remember because I was torn between saving money for college and buying lexx stuff).

Though it would be awkward having her call (it said she was to call and thank the winner). I hate being a stereotypical fan, and would feel like a bit of a freak talking to her about lexx, expecially after spending over 5000 just because she wore something. I probably wouldn't know what to say, I'd do everything not to sound creepy and probably come up with nothing. Though, seriously, that guy better be a rich millionare, otherwise he's a huge loser. No way can you spend that much on, and buy that many, costumes of a character and still be normal.

I think its strange that so many gamers collect games.
Just depends on the collector. Its better than blowng the
money on drugs or whatever. I agree on the phone
call. Only thing would be to get info on what eps
she wore it in. Maybe even get her to sign a letter
stating that. Also anything else she might add or
throw in......

That outfit you could frame up nicely. And would be
like a piece of art. I doubt it will ever be worth anymore
than what was paid for it. Show has a smaller following
than like Star Wars. But who knows.

I think it's the whole "collecting clothing of a hot girl", and paying thousands for one piece, is why I would think they'd be so weird.

Though, unless I can figure out if that bra was used in the episode I don't think I'll bid. I do feel like a bit of a pervert, especially since it's just the top of a costume and obviously nothing was underneath it.

That's strange, the original zev is the lead while xev is the last person of significance listed. The movie may have been bad (only one review doesn't really say whether it was or not), and it looks to be german (american movies would probably be higher budget and make more money).

In the end lexx may have been a bad career move. It was never a huge success and likely didn't make her a ton of money, but it had enough popularity and duration that it probably typecast her into a role she really won't get to play again (a sex, funny sci fi character doesn't seem to fit with most sci fi shows, though I hate every other sci fi thing except star wars and dune so I don't really know).

As someone mentioned, I think that bra might be from the season 3 episode "garden". I just fast forward through it and I noticed that 3 girls had similar bra's, except they were basically sports bras with flowers. Different color, but similar. It was probably an unfilmed or deleted scene.

Since nearly all of her non-Lexx work has been in Europe she could easily be quite busy while staying off of our radar.

Of course, she isn't much of an actress, even in German. It says a lot when an actor is noticeably deficient in a language I can only follow if everyone speaks very slowly. But she is extraordinarily sexy and isn't likely to starve any time soon.

Lexx episodes in the US are a bit shorter to allow for more commercials. The deleted scenes are usually things that don't affect the plot but might not pass BS&P in this market. This was the case with the Highlander series. Since it was mostly funded out of Europe they did extra content for that market. Some of those scenes got pretty wild but mostly they'd just be bits of character interaction independent of the episode plot.

I think the list I was looking it had all her credits, since most of the ones it listed were german (it's on her site). Though I saw a few clips of her other movies, she's alright in some roles (seemed pretty good in the german soap operas just listening to the fluxuations in her voice and her movements), but not very good in others. Some of the idiosyncracies that I had thought were just part of lexx and xev I realize were really her and how she acted, and not just designed for her character. They usually don't translate nearly as well when you're not playing an extremely horny sex slave/cluster lizard.

Though I never really watched lexx on tv (once or twice I did, it was on when I first got into it with the dvd's, but I didn't want to watch future episodes and screw up the plot for myself), though I have the entire collection of dvds (including the first 4 movies that aren't available in the u.s., I bought them on a trip to toronto before I actually moved here). The dvd's are the uncensored versions, and some of them do have nudity in them, I remember two episodes having quite a bit (xev is nude too in a few, but it's from the side but usually still clearly visible)

It seems they wrote the character around her. Eva Haberman is a better actress with a much longer resume despite being a fair bit younger than her replacement but she didn't do nearly as much with the character as did Seeburg. Some people only have one good character in them because it derives from them but under the right circumstances it can be very effective. Despite her greater experience I suspect the character just went against Haberman's grain and she couldn't get into it as needed.

Recall that episode from the last season where everyone is getting anal probes to check for the presence of the mind controlling carrots? Zev's expression during her probe, especially since it is being performed by Kai, is worth the price of the entire season set. Give her another role like Xev and she's gold but anything else...

I think eva left due to scheduling conflict or something else she wanted to do. Brian downey was very funny, though the single best character was prince, played by nigel bennet. My favorite was Xev, followed by prince (though stan was more essential, I liked prince better but the show could stand to lose prince much easier than stan), then stan. Though Nigel Bennet was clear and away the best actor in the series, and played the best character. Totally self interested, not the psychotic madman that was so common, but a rational, evil, smart, sane villain, who even had a soft spot for xev. Priest was priceless as the president, and bunny was a brilliant choice to play along side him. Having george bush as president just made him all the funnier.

Though I never liked the whole anal probing carrot bit, the 4th season was very well done I thought, I just don't really like gross out stuff. That one episode had some good scenes, but the total focus on that ruined it.

The shows ending caught me by suprise, though I hate what they did with 790 (don't want to spoil anything if someone reads this but hasn't finished).

Brian downy must be canadian, I never realized that. "Shattered city: the Halifax explosion"? Don't get any more canadian than that. Plus there are even RCMP's (royal canadian mounted police)! Though the best thing about ontario has to be the cop cars, they all have O.P.P on the side of them. I loved naughty by nature, and when I saw that I thought it was hilarious.

Yes, Eva officially left due to a scheduling conflict but that also says she found the other job preferable to continuing with Lexx. Frankly, I didn't miss her. While very attractive she just wasn't engaging in the role. Seeburg was a big improvement as she was much less inhibited. It improved a lot though when they dumped that hideous first wig and went with the long hair that was much closer to her real follicles. That first wig should have been reserved solely for a villain of either gender. The last two seasons I find those episodes with lots of Xev time interesting for that alone. (Now, if they could put together a Xev-Zev catfight culminating in consummation of their mutual attraction I'd pay more for that than a season set!)

Looking at the IMDB listings, it appears much of the cast hasn't been doing all that much TV and film work sinc ethe series wrapped. This doesn't mean they're on welfare but IMDB can make it seem that way since they don't track other well paying fields like stage performance and commercials, or even if the subject has monster trust fund and doesn't really have to work for a living.
