Damn, XCOM does that bring back memories of freshman year of college. That game, along with Doom II, Hexen, Dune, and Warcraft realized that the PC my parents got me for school could do more than help me on my school work. It also marked when I took a 4 year break from console gaming to primarily being a PC gamer.
 
I've never been to the underdog site. Whats the address? When I go theunderdogs.com all I get is a site with a bunch of links.

It's actually not technically public domain. Not yet. But the copyrights aren't usually enforced by the holders.

Probably because most of the copyright holders don't give a damn, or don't exist anymore.
