I really liked the mega drive ones back in the day but to try and play them today after playing all these hot dirty 3d games was very difficult

but then I found RR64 really great, it's crude but yet so satisfying I love the way you get massive bursts of air, the tracks are really well thought out and everything is as it should be.

We're actually in the minority who enjoyed the 64 version. I love it. It's close to my favorite version of the series. I never cared for the 16-bit entries. Way too choppy to be playable.

The PS One/3D0/Saturn/PC version is my fave and always will be (the Sega CD may be the same asthetically, but that's it). Of those four, the PC version is probably the best (hi-res), but it has a gaudy HUD on the bottom of the screen. Go the PS One version if you want a console version.
