I just got a copy of Pokemon Ruby, cart only for $5 from a nice mom off my local craigslist. Even though it was cart only, it was a good deal so I had to jump on it (Also got Kirby GBA for $5) Thing is that my bro already has Ruby and while it doesn't matter so much, I'd like to try and get a Sapphire just to round things out.

Anyone know if a GS or EB would do a nice easy swap? I'm probably going to try some local non franchise game stores too. Perhaps someone around here would do a cart for cart switch? Any help/advice is appreciated.

They might do a swap if you know them well. I know I could at the local EB. If not, then you may have to cough up some dough as well as swap.

The people at my local EB are pretty cool. I guess it could be considered an exchange since no money is being transfered and its basically the same game and neither one is worth more than the other correct? It wouldn't make a difference to them, so Im hoping they'll help me out.

Haha yea they have everything there. I just check it weekly and find a good thing every now and then. I hunt for mostly GBA games though since a lot of people just disregard them as being worth much. I got a complete Metroid Fusion awhile back for $7.
I'll give you $15 a piece for the both of 'em. PM me if interested.
Both? I'm not selling anything..

If you don't have any luck locally, send me a PM, I have a copy of Sapphire I don't really care about. If I'm in an especially good mood I may be willing to swap em with you.
They will give you 1/3 off sapphire.

Their policy is to rip you off.
You seem pretty confident in saying that...

1. We will give him $15 for Pokemon Ruby
2. Our policy is not trying to rip someone off (in this type of example )...the items are under different sku's, and the game wasn't even purchased there. Our policy is not to be the middle men of theft. Now say said person went to another store, and saw a chance to steal Pokemon Ruby. He did, but he would perfer having Sapphire. Why should we switch it out for him? Such a transaction must be done in the computer, since the switch will mess up our inventory otherwise. Journal tape records a transaction for a switched Ruby/Sapphire with no receipt. That raises suspicion.

Plus according to him the game has no box or instructions. Most kids do throw away their GBA boxes, but still.

This is just an example of course, but don't be a prick.
