Any reason to not trade in your Gamecube for the Wii?

What do they give you for a Game Boy Player? I'm considering this, but I don't want to get rid of any of my Wavebirds. And, I have Naruto 4...I don't want to get rid of my Cube if I can't play it on the Wii. :S
 
Gameboy Player goes for about $40 on ebay
Gamecube Component Cables go for about $40 on ebay
Gamecube Broadband adapter goes for about $20 on ebay
Trade-in Gamecube for $50 at EB

That could be $150 toward my Wii

I better get right on that :D
 
My Gamecube is modded, which is why I'm hesitant to get rid of it. I may try and sell it to a friend or something that would appreciate it's moddedness

Why the hell would it even be worth it to mod a Gamecube?
 
does anyone know if its been confirmed that the wii can run freeloader(for imports)? Cause if not i guess i'll hold onto the GC till some other importing way is found for the wii

Or for the same reason why some people mod other systems.

(I've seen many modded gamecubes that read normal sized discs)

You don't need to do anything to your Cube to get it to play imports, just buy a Freeloader (usually is discounted when bought with a game at most import sites) and you're good to go when playing imports.
