I have the official ear buds and they work quite well and the sound is actually pretty good.

i use turtle beach m5s. pricier than the standard headset, and i can't compare it to the standard either.

Been using the Munitio MW3 in-ear headsets. I like them a lot. I've seen them go down as low as $20.

I just picked up the Sony Pulse Wireless headset, it is bad ass.. it runs $150, but is wireless with PS3 and wired with Vita/Ipod/Cell. Chat is crystal clear and the sound is amazing. The best thing is it looks like a real headset and not some goofy gaming headset, so if you want to use it in public it looks like a real beats style headset.

Can you chat using the Sony pulse headset and the vita. I hope they will be on sale for Black Friday cause I'm going to definitely pick up a pair.
