Any way to get a .edu e-mail address, if you're not in school?

I'm trying to sign up for something, and apparently you need an ISP or .Edu e-mail address, of which I have neither.

Any way for someone who isn't in school to pick up a .edu e-mail addy?

Edit: Someone a few days ago suggested Australia.edu, where you can sign up for an Australia.edu e-mail account, but.. I don't know, it doesn't feel legit.
