Anybody know of a good box that will let me connect the YPbPr component outs of a DVD player to the VGA input of a monitor? A cheap one, of course...
 
No, a straight cable won't work. There are two kinds of component video, YPrPb and RGB. Consumer electronics devices (e.g. DVD players) generally use YPrPb, and analog computer monitors use RGB. I need a box that will translate the signal from one "flavor" of component to the other.

You probably won't find one much cheaper than that. I was looking for a cheap one for months, and thats about as cheap as you're gonna get.
