Anyone buy a CELL PHONE from Amazon.com?

Ok, Amazon always seems to have GOOD deals on Cell PHones. I can get the Motorola RAZR for $100 after rebates. However, I'm not sure how it works when you order through Amazon.

My situation:
I have a cellphone through Cingular....my previous 2 year contract should be up.

Now, if I get a cellphone through Amazon, do I keep the same number?
- Any HIDDEN setup fees?

Looks like I get screwed with CINGULAR though. Although I'm not really PORTING a number, I want to keep the same carrier, just want a new phone and possibly a new plan. IT looks like I may violate rebates though....

I could always get a NEW cell #, but that's a hassle in changing everything.
