Anyone ever get a refund from a pre-order at gamestop?

I have madden 06 reserved at gamestop for $5, but I have a circuit city just across the street from gamestop and will try to pick up madden for $39 if it's there. Anyone been able to do this?
 
Yes, you can do this at any time. Just keep in mind that you'll be refunded with whatever you paid the deposit with, be it cash, store credit, etc.
 
Also.. it's fine if I don't have my store credit, right? I only have the receipt. I called them about this and they said it was fine because they had another copy of the reservation/store credit.

When you reserve a game, that's all you usually get. The store keeps the credit slip on file. Go in with an ID (and reciept if you still have it) and you should be fine.
 
I'm pretty sure that Madden is NOT $39 at Circuit City...at least not the PS2, XBOX, or GC version actually just say "Low Price" in the Sunday Flier, the $39 is for the DS version. And the DS version is $29 at Target...so CC has NO DEALS on the game at all...no need to worry about your preorder...
