Anyone ever pre-ordered a game from Walmart.com? I have a question about it

When I placed an order for Portal 2 from Walmart.com, they gave the delivery estimated time as being anywhere between April 19-21. Does anyone know if items ever get delivered the release day, or is that the day it ships.

I was trying to use up gift card I had on it. But with my friends also getting this release day, I'd rather drive down the street to pick it up than wait the extra few days for it to arrive. Thanks for any input.

i suggest you just go to the store to get it, cause release day shipping most of the time makes the game more expensive than just going to the store on release day and buying it.

With walmart.com, you get the free $20 gift card, you don't get that if you just walk in the store.
I'd just choose site to store if I were you, it doesn't take that long (maybe 3-4 days) and it's free.

I did the same deal because I also had a gift card. Last year they had a deal to get a $50 card with the preorder of 3 games so I did that. Dead Rising 2 came on launch day, Fallout New Vegas showed up about a week after releasing, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood came on launch day also. So it's a mixed bag in my experience.

Thanks for the help. I figured since they didn't have 'guaranteed release-day deliver' it would be haphazard.
Amazon has the same deal going on, but I since I don't buy online so much I figure I can get another gift card with the Walmart eCard and force myself to buy groceries there for a month with it.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it comes sooner than later. It won't kill me to wait a few days anyway.

Something a friend suggested is to buy the game somewhere on release and return the copy Walmart sends me. Sounds good to me, but all the same I'll probably just wait for it to come naturally.
