Anyone ever use a console to PC adapter?

I have that adapter.... it doesn't work with wavebirds.
the driver it comes with is a little quirky and i had problems assigning function to the c-stick in pc games (the n64 emu worked fine, though). it seems to work fine now that i installed a patch from http://forum.lik-sang.com/showthread.php?t=6398. now pc games recognize the left analog stick. rumble works fine, too.
