So I got this email Tuesday offering me the opportunity to join some Nintendo newsgroup for 'mature' gamers since I registered my copy of Metroid Prime 2 last fall. It came with a passcode and directions to join. I go to the site, fill in the information, and then get a message that I 'don't meet eligibility requirements' for joining - this message appears right under where you input your birthdate. Age discrimination or just an oversight?

Supposedly there's information on the upcoming Metroid titles as well Killer 7 for those who join so I am interested in finding out what it's about.

Anyone know what I'm talking about or have success joining the newsgroup?

I tried to apply a couple weeks ago and they said that my age didn't fit the requirements (I am 21 years old and was the same age at the time I applied). I have no idea as to what the requirements are to get in, since I obviously should be old enough to view any material they have. It must be a group designed for people of a certain age group (maybe 18-21? I am not sure).

Hmm... I'll give it a shot if my boyfriend still has his registration code for Metroid Prime 2. Then someone can have the account if I get in. I'm not much for newsgroups.

i tried the same thing just yesterday, it wouldn't let me in either. faulty site, me thinks.

don't think it's an age issue, just try different dates, it still doesn't let you in. eh, whatever.....

Nintendo should be doing more freebies with higher registration counts, I could easily add a lot more games, but have no incentive to do so....blah. (who wants to be a Sage, anyways!? l-a-m-e ) M$ and Sony are pumping out free demos left and right.

Lol I think there is a glithc in the system. I am not qualified as well. THere i something wrong and I guess it will be fixed soon.
