Does anyone have one and could give me a review? I can't seem to find any.

I really wanted to get something for the DS similar to the Logitech Playgear Pocket for the PSP. I found this:

This is a great case. You retain access to all buttons and the stylus. It actually "clicks" onto the DS Lite, instead of sitting in it like the Playgear Pocket. You can also print out inserts to go between the DS and case (like the PGP), but it doesn't have the community behind it like the PGP.

I would actually rather have something that I can easily take it out of like the PGP. Even though it clicks in can you take it out easily? I do like how compact it is though...Hmmm....
 
The case is nice, i've got a friend that was showing it off and she loves it to death, she said it cam with these little tribal dragon inserts that show through the plastic. Seems to be very sturdy and durable, but i never owned one
 
Hmm, this looks pretty nice. I was thinking of getting a silicone skin but this looks like it would protect my DS better.
 
I just bought my Onyx DS lite last week with the ArmorLite case from Circuit City for $9.96. They are on close-out over there, so there was only one left. It is excellent and snaps on to fits snuggly. I would highly recommend it.

can u show me a picture of it? cause i looked at the amazon picture but does the top of the armor lite not stay on the top of the ds? i dont want a stupid piece of plastic hanging outwards like the photo.
 
bump for this. I'd like some more info on this case, and how it works. there doesnt seem to be any actual reviews for it anywhere. getting a dslite soon and going for black, so this seems like it would be the best protective case.

great case i got it myslef i doesnt even feel like anything is on the actual ds,
it scratches easily but id ont really care cause scratches on case> scratches on ds.


its a good case id reccomend it and im one of those over protective people with their electronic devices.
 
How does it click in and how easy is it to remove? also,does the top part stay attatched? the stock photos always show it hanging off.

lol i had the same question as u, u should use the SEARCH function,
but yeah it does stay on attached but its a little hard taking it off but once u put it on u wont need to take it off!:applause:

I don't see the Armorlite at Target. Where else can I find it? JR is charges $7 minimum shipping, which seems ridiculous for a $10 product.

My god that is hot shit. It looks so well made--something that won't wear out. (I'm looking at YOU BD&A DS case...velcro doesn't "stick" anymore)

$40 though...hmm. I'll have to see what else I can find in-store before I bite the bullet.

I just picked one up on sale CC. Where can I print out inserts for the DS? I wouldn't mind making my own.
 
Hey everyone, I registered to ask a question in this topic (original, I know).

I just bought the armorlite at Circuit City and installed it, but my concern is that there are no instructions for removing it. I'd like to put in an insert, and I'm sure I'll have to replace the battery at some point.

Did anyone manage to remove it safely (no damage to it or the ds)? If so, how? Is there another site that offers the steps or tips?
 
what i do with the ds closed is first unhook the two male to female hinges in the middle where they connect then slide the top part out straight out parallel to the top case so it wont scratch the ds. i also do these steps backwards for installing it as well.

Did you use your fingernails or something thin/flat to pry it out? Or, did you just apply pressure from the back/sides until it popped out? :whistle2:k
 
Ah, so this is a clear case? Very cool. I thought it was white at first. :lol:

I'll be ordering this from CC. I just upgraded my original DS to a black DSL, and this extra layer of protection and fingerprint-proofness will be great. Doesn't look too thick, so it shouldn't be a problem when it comes to handling the system.

Edit- just ordered. Looking forward to getting this.
 
I really like those crystal cases. They come in clear/black/white/pink/blue on ebay. I saw some for 99 cents plus 6 dollar shipping. Just type in "Crystal nintendo ds" on the search bar on ebay.
 
i love the playgear pocket for the psp because it actually closes and i can just toss the thing into my bookbag and not worry about it falling out. i want the same type of case for my ds lite. this armorlite case doesn't look like it actually close, and the thing can flip open easily. can anybody point me to the type of case i'm looking for?
 
The armorlite just protects the outside of the DS. It doesn't enclose it in any way like a normal pouch/case. the DS is meant to played in the armorlite case.
 
the armor lite case is a great case, it keeps my ds lite well protected i bought one when it was on sale for $5 at circuit city...

the only problem is i dont know how to get it off so its just gonna stay on there for a long time
 
I got one at Circuit City for $5.xx and I have a Yoshi pouch for it to carry. I love it because the case protects my lite very well, in case I ever dropped it. It also doesn't feel that bulky.
 
I got this a while ago, and I went ahead and picked one of these as well for kicks. The Armorlite definitely protects my DS Lite, and I just stick it in the pouch when not in use.
