Couple of quick questions. I'm buying this only to display if I decide to get it.

1. Do you have blue or silver?
2. Is the box cardboard or some kind of see through plastic?
3. How big is it?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, there's a silver version? I only recall seeing blue ones.

I found a used one of these at a tiny used DVD/game store yesterday, actually. Picked him up and I luvs him. He's blue and I don't have the stand/packaging, but it's fun to have loose. I'll probably pick one up off Amazon (they are surprisingly cheap).

As for the size, it's like....oh, a large but slightly flattened orange.

I seem to remember the packaging in Gamestops to be clear plastic, with a caption on the front that said "Hey I'm a controller!"

1. Blue, from Japan.
2. I believe so, 99.9% sure on this.
3. It's good sized, good enough for display, but not too big. Remember you have to hold it in your hands as a controller, and it's actually pretty comfortable for that. It's not quite as long as a normal PS2 controller, but it is a tad wider.

It's really only for display I'm afraid. The controller is functional and feels surprisingly comfortable to use, but the detachable controller cord gets detached way too much during normal play. It's bad enough in a turn-based RPG, you'd be royally fucked in any action game.

Mais oui, mon ami.

From what I gather the silver models (supposed to be metal slimes I guess) were only available in Japan. I'm not particularly enamored of the finish as it looks like a spray on job rather than a true metal. I think I'll go with the blue version as I rather like the 'classic' slimes.

Many thanks for the info. Now that you've all but confirmed the clear plastic packaging it's just a matter of moving around some coin to actually order this.

Ah, that's too bad. However I don't think I'll even be pulling him out of the box at all. I ended up selling my last PS2 and haven't really had the urge to go out and buy another although I have been getting the itch to give DQVIII another shot. I didn't enjoy it the first time around but I think I was just playing it 'wrong' if that's even possible. Thank you.
