Anyone have their SYWR (Kmart) accounts get merged?

Hi,

Since Josh left Kmart I haven't had much use for my SYWR cards/accounts. In fact the only time I've entered a Kmart in the last three months was to go clearance hunting and I've come up empty handed every time.

When Josh was running his Kmartgamer deals I had two seperate SYWR accounts; one under my girlfriends information and one under mine. Each account had a seperate e-mail address and phone number.

I keep pretty accurate totals on my spending and also accumulated rewards for each retailer. One of my SYWR accounts had just over a dollar on it while the other was supposed to have close to $40.

I hadn't logged into either account since Josh left but today when I checked both accounts were merged under the same SYWR account number and of course it was the one with the fewer rewards.

I was pretty careful about never using a coupon earned on one account with the other account but nevertheless both accounts are now combined.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not too concerned about losing the SYWR points as I was just going to buy groceries but I found it to be really odd and was just more intersted in how they decided to link the accounts.

Also this can serve as a heads up for others to check and see if they are affected.

I merged a couple accounts on purposed. I had gotten them with different contact info and was sick of them both existing. I emailed customer service and they combined the accounts and the points were also combined.

I'd shoot them an email about it and see what happens.

Damn. How much did it take to get close to $40 in rewards? I know I'd be annoyed if they merged accounts and nixed that much on me. The only thing I could think of regarding those points going away is that they have an expiration date or some sort of rollover date like the Reward Zone at Best Buy does.
