Anyone here played Shaq-Fu

the big diesel

CAG Veteran
My friend recently purchased this work of art. I was wondering if anyone else has played this masterpeice.

Actually the game is hilarious. The story is ridiculous, you can easially tell that EA just stuck Shaq into the game to sell more copies. The gameplay is horrible, the collision detection only works in the center of the body so that hits anywhere else don't even count. Also, the game is unbelievable hard. All of the characters have special moves including shooting flames, and throwing swords, and all Shaq can do is Light Punch, Power Punch, Light Kick, and Power Kick.

Anyone else who has seen or played this game will find this site hilarious. Start with the stategy guide.

I was in college when it came out and my roommate ran out and bought it the day it came out. It was good for a few laughs in the dorm...

I bought it for Genesis and actually liked it :whistle2:o

Then again I was about 9 years old.

I showed it to my friends at college last year, setting them up by saying it is one of the worst games out there.

They thougt it had good graphics and didn't seem so bad

Yeah, I like them game. I got it when I was like 12 or so, Genesis was an old system then also. I beat it though, it is not that hard. I still think it is not bad.

Um...I think they need to put down the gravity bong...

Why do you people think this game is good? What are the redeeming qualities of the game? I don't think the developers of it thought it was good. Actually, it is universally recognized as one of the worst games of all time.

look in the third paragraph

The only thing this game is good for is to make fun of it.
Oddly enough I have played the game. But you already knew that, didn't you?
How would I know that? Are you saying that I am telepathic....? Well perhaps I am.

Got it for Christmas along with a 32x whenever that came out....it was a good christmas at the time, but in retrospect I got 2 widely hated pieces of video game history.

Hey! The 32x had that one game that was good. I can't think of it right now, but that's ok.

Shaq Fu is one of the most awesomest games ever to be released on cartridge, which is right up there with other awesome games like True Lies and Chuck Rock.

Looking at that list of worst games reminded me of Battlecruiser by Derek Smart. I wonder if DNF will make this list if it ever comes out of the vaporware category :)
Are you fucking kidding me? Of course I played that fucking game. One of the fucking crappiest games ever made.
hahahahahahahahaaahahaaha

I was waiting for someone to do that.

I thought Shaq-fu was a decent fighter, and it actually had a pretty good soundtrack, but it's the storyline and dialouge that propels it to it's legendary status.

I agree with you on every front. I think the gameplay is quite nice and the sound track is quite excellent for such a game. The story and dialouge are excellent in the sense that they are comedy gold.

Lets not drag Michael Jacksons Moonwalker down to fuck's level....Moonwalker atleast had good music

I'm still waiting for the fuck collector's edition, where you get a remake of the game for the 360 along with that shitty movie he did where he was the genie....damn what was that movie called...someone google it

it was Kazaam

You know, it's still better than Rise of the Robots. There are worse fighters out there, and even for the Genesis.

That said, the dollar I paid for fuck was too much. I don't think it's as hideous as the OP makes it out to be. Sure, it's definitely lacking and it's got an utterly ridiculous plot on top of poor design and implementation...but, it does have a certain charm about it. ;)
Shaq fu is right up there in crappyness with Michael Jacksons Moon Walker.
Whoa hey MJ Moon Walker was a good game. Sure you look at the premise of saving children (now) and it's really weird but you could become the giant robot like in the movie. Moonwalker > fuck
