Anyone in Southern California see this today?

Some "ice crystals" in the upper levels caused a sundog today. Growing up I always wanted a be a meteorologist and I have never seen this in the area before. It caused most areas to see rainbows in the clouds. The clouds where not dropping precipitation. Here is one of the many pictures I took today.

Nope,I did see unsual blue skies days after Swedish volcano erupted. Wish I've taken of picture of it.

I don't know what I'm looking at, but it looks like an average summer sky in Michigan.
