all you need to play on a private server



well, i played it ever since alpha. the US version. and boy was it fun back in the day, baphomet ownage, etc etc. now its just gotten to expensive and to much.. iono.. gayness and made me stop. i stopped when the implemented P2P. im a cag, and 6 months for 60 bucks? cmon. wheres the fun in that. well, ive been playing on a private server. and was thinking of making my own, just need people to come and play. if you know about this game, you know its really fun.

anyone ever play RO? if you do please share. i quit and never payed for it. i also played other betas like chinese RO and etc etc. if i get a server running, it will run 24/7 about, will be in english, have up to date things like classes etc etc. check out what RO is about at http://iro.ragnarokonline.com/game/game.asp

I've play RO for sometime.. well really only a month and some 2 week and I paided a month.. which was pretty blah. I loved that game hehe even played hrs and just countless hrs.. lvling.. -.-. I played on private servers so much better but eh I quitted RO. A lot of people I know played RO and on private servers.. and some even paid a month to just play it.. Fun addicting game.. just like any mmorpg but eh then it gets boring when you got everything and good luck on getting a server running.

i think its the cutest, most fun mmorpg that ive ever played. =[ its going to go downhill i think. well, my server wont lag !! =]
 
How did you lag so much then? I didn't lag much or really at all, but it's usually without any other program running except AIM.

mousin I'm sure you played with your gf or something because that's what makes it really fun =]. It definatly is a cute mmorpg.
 
I played it for about 2 months and thought it was pretty good but quit because I really didn't have the time to really get into a mmorpg.
 
yea, i had a private server once where it was only me my sister and gf. got boring and i left my computer on for nights, and people would come in, so i had to shut down SexRO (the name of my server =D). well, i can start CAGRO =] if theres enough ammount of participants.

i will make crazy rates and make it fun, but challeging server.

I lag so much because of those AFK-er.....

they make the game so lag that i give up.... I hate them!!!!!
 
I started playing RO before it even hit the states =P
I was playing on the Korean servers.

Its a really fun game and I never had any problems with Lag and I uses AOL. I played for about 2+ years, but I gave it up because 1. Final Fantasy XI came out, 2. I just didn't have the time to play MMORPGs. any more.

Once I get free time again I'm picking up FFXI and RO again.
 
technically but try stopping them, RO's been hacked a hundred times so it's no wonder people can steal the code to make their own servers.

I tried it WAAAAAAAY back in the day, I felt it was missing customization options, with like 5 hairstyles and 8 classes whose armor always looks the samt the only thing to separate you grom 200 other people in town is whether you have rabbit ears or cat ears... I dont doubt the characters are well done but they;re very limited. plus when I played it it too forever to reach my forst job skill.

But I do have a friend who's litterally addicted to it, even met her BF there... kinda scary how much she likes that game.
 
ahahhaahahhha thats a weird story, the private servers have ALOT MORE then english servers, 1. its more up to date with korean's version, 2. you can make custom things. =D if you guys wnat i really can get a CAG RO server up.
 
Actually the custom servers aren't illegal, well at least in Korea. When you FTP in to download the client they have the files to make your own server right there.

US version might be illegal. I don't know about that.
 
count me in. I've been meaning to try out this game, but found out I have to make a monthly payment for it. My cheapass wallet will not be able to handle that! :D
 
Well I tried it out on a server my friend told me about. Weird game, looks like I've got a lot to learn (my friend just talked right over my head about stuff like cards, classes, quests, and crap). If you want to mousin, go for it! I'm ready when you are.

YEA!! i might actually start a server, but the process for the players to play it gay. you have to go through downloading the korean version of RO, then the patch. then you download a program i send to you and yea. well not that complicated. and ill give you guys request on items !! =]
 
I just started playing on a private server, it looks fun so far. The only problem I have with this server is that once in a while I won't be able to connect, but it looks pretty stable to me.
