Anyone know for sure when the next shipment of 360s will be in by?

microsoft hasnt really said except that the supply will be steady after launch, its the after launch part that sounds fishy, i imagine there will be a few inbetween launch and christmas

That's probably transfers from other stores. He's talking about shipments from the manufacturer.

Lots of people say yes and lots say no. The concensus that I can gather from everything I've been reading is that there won't be a shortage (ala PS2) but they will be a little scarce but if you're persistant you'll find one.
 
Well, I had a pre-order at Ebgames and they called me yesterday (after saying I would get one at Midnight tonight) and said they were short shipped and that I cannot get mine until next tuesday. I don't know if this is happening in a lot of places (being short-shipped), but man does this suck for me

Yep, same shit just happened to me. Went into ebgames about 30 min. ago to pick up some games for the 360 since I just wanted to get the system at midnight. Well, the manager then tells me that I am not even going to get a system at midnight since I am number 15 and they only got 12 360's in.........that doesn't even begin to make sense, but if I can't get one next week, I am cancelling my preorder and returning all my crap. Which probably means I won't be getting a 360 at all. Yeah, if I can't get it on launch, I don't even want the dam thing anymore.

I pre-ordered the xbox 360, games, and controllers two months ago, AND paid it all off at ebgames. I was told by an automated phonecall that I should expect my xbox 360 sometime around 2006. THAT SUCKS!!!
 
I bet Microsoft will be shipping out every 360 right after they make them. When each store gets another shipment will vary.
 
Gamestop told me they'd get some in every week. Then again they also told me that if i was selected for the midnight release i wouldnt get a call, then they told me a week later that i would've gotten a call. So i doubt they know what theyre talking about.
 
I got the 360 e-mail today and said that stores are receiving shipments EVERY week through the year. Now I don't know if that means three systems, 10, 20 etc. But this came from MS themselves. I'm assuming a few and not alot, if you look hard enough you'll come upon one. If you work in retail, even better.
 
i dont even see the reason why people are so hyped about xbox 360 .. there is nothing out there that is MUST BUY like halo was on the first xbox.

hopefully the first shipment of 360 dont have as many problems as the first shipment of xbox did those should of been called pieces of shit in a box
 
The GameCrazy manager just told me they may get another shipment by this Friday.

Rumor has it that Microsoft shipped a shipment on the 18th and a shipment on the 19th, so one may arrive tomorrow.
 
They're going to be flying in 360's directly from China, instead of using ships, until production ramps up and demand subsides after the Holiday season. I expect a slow, continuous trickle, until they start making them fast enough to load up some ships. Thats when you'll start seeing them in quantity.

Flying them in isn't an efficient way to move any quantity of product, but they're not making a ton of them, and they need them here right now.


Somebody needs to confirm or deny the rumor that the 360 is region free until you put a game disc in it, might be able to import them from Japan.
 
Ready for some bad news?

Gamestop stores are now being told to expect ONE shipment next week, which will cover 500 stores at about 2 units each. The following shipment will come the third or fourth week of December and may cover 10 units per store.

C'mon. Someone's gotta know for sure what DAY the next shipment is coming in. Cause we're going to need to wait in line again if we want one.
 
I sure as hell hope that they get more than 10 a week. there are still over 400 ppl on the pre-order list at the gamestop i go to (and im #174)...
