Ok, I was playing MVP BAseball last night, when it said my controller was disconnected.....huh, nope....anyways, after further investigation, I noticed that it was frayed at the very top of the controller. It appears that one of the wires was cut. I DO wrap my controllers up, but I try not to make them that tight. I know I've used it for a while.....but I was a little disappointed. I still have one BIG ASS controller left...but I want another now for backup.

Anyone know any good deals or if you can even find a NEW one anywherE? I don't want a used controller....that just seems a bit gross.

I guess you could try splicing it back together and just hope that all the wires that snapped are exposed. then use tape and hope that it holds it all together?

[quote name='dafoomie']You can get The Duke used for $22.99 at EB. ($17.24 a/c)

If you really want a new one, check B&M stores in your area. Many department stores still have them laying around, like Walmart, Target, etc. You'll bump into one eventually.

Also, here is a guide for repairing your controller's cord. There is also a link there for simply replacing the entire cord with a good one.

Dafoomie, you are so helpful.

i wish they would remake the old controllers with the d-pad and anolog sticks from the s-controller. the duke was the perfect size and they were sturdy as hell.... both mine still work perfectly but my s-controller is dead. i even once had my duke controller in the car and the wire was OUT the car door while driving lol, the part that plugs into the xbox is gone, but i just got a new 1 and bent the part that connects to that in the right shape, and it worx perfectly lol.

Ok. I just found out they are called "Duke". My question is....why???? All my time on these boards, and my brother just brought this to my attention? Is it a take on "dookie", or what?
