I have never been so pumped for any sports game. I really think that the world cup is the greatest sports event ever. I can't wait for the game. I used to hate soccer as much as every single one of you but now I love it so much.

youre pumped about it, but you dont htink the world cup is the greatest sporting event in the world? Is there even any information about the fifa 07 for 360 yet?
I think he meant that he DOES think it is the best, and I would agree with that statement totally.
me second!!

i've always liked the series.. but it seems like it hasn't changed for 3-4 years now.. even the current gen looks similar to next gen (asides from the close ups)

I remember REALLY enjoying the first FIFA game on Sega Genesis. I tend to think soccer is a boring sport lately though....I'll take my "American" sports first.

I'm looking forward to a decent Fifa game on 360, I'm from the UK originally so am a big "soccer" fan.

Pro Evo (or Winning Eleven as it's known here) should be pretty good to, but probably won't have club teams so I'll deffo be getting Fifa 07.

I am excited to finally trade in WE9, get fifa07, trade that when WE10 comes out. Even without the leagues WE is always my favorite. Fifa is looking good if the online multiplayer leagues work. If so we will have to get a CAG one started. I call the Arsenal.

yeah thats what made me angry at WE...i saw a preview for WE 10 on youtube and it looks nice. real nice. but they are so weak on licenses..i still cant stand not to play with Liverpool and only to be called Merseyside Red.

Option Files are your friend. The announcers still use the default names for Teams and Stadiums, but everything else is right as rain. I know that previous versions of WE (PES) had the ability to import custom changes via Option Files. It would only make sense that the new version would have the same ability.

Didn't they add some club teams to WE, I'm thinking Chelsea and Arsenal. You might get lucky with Liverpool being that they are one of the bigger teams in the Premiership. I'm a Blackburn Rovers supporter so i've got Jack-S chance of playing them in WE :)

I think since WE is usually cheaper than FIFA the lack of licenses is the reason. Maybe Im weird but with a usb keyboard I kinda like changeing the team info. Now if there can be someway to get peoples save file on 360 everything will be OK. Expecially for me and my Gunners, since they are licensed.

edit.
OK I love soccer EA's FIFA SUCKS.
thanks for you wonderful insight, i have never thought of that before OK

yeah i would like to see if any clubs have been added....the only reason i would buy fifa is for the license but im still on WE. man i just wished konami jus dealt out a shit of money and just bought all the licenses. yeah im liverpool through and through. too bad we are having a rocky start with a tie at Sheffield United but they played a good game.

Since I'm apparently a masochist, I will be getting FIFA as well... I am astoundingly bad at FIFA games, and have no explanation why. It's the only game series that I can think of that I cannot succeed at on some level.

I refuse to give in, though. This anomaly must be put down.

I read some news from GC06 that the 360 version will not have the interactive leagues. It is good that EA Canada has been developing this from scratch for the 360 and not just a sparkly port like WE10 is going to be. This hopefully will be the first year that they are comparable. I need one of them to play so I can get the arsenal off to a better start than they actually have.

your mean Arsenal. the ole gunners of Highbury. well lets hope WE worked on their licenses...as much as option files are great, i would still like to hear Liverpool and play in Anfield instead of the Red Bowl. also i would love to hear all the teams indiv chants like You will never walk alone or West Hams Bubbles chant.

I cannot wait either. I played Fifa 06 on my friend's Xbox yesterday on his LCD HDTV and it looked completely outstanding. I can't wait to get Fifa 07.

Saw this new video of it from GC06.

My previous statement about 360 not having interactive leagues seems to be false. The gameplay looked a little faster than realistic. I havent been this excited about FIFA ever and I cant wait to seen the battle between FIFA and WE.

I was wondering if a non-soccer fan can get into the FIFA games. I am not a big fan of hockey, but I find that the hockey games are fun. I hate basketball, but I always love playing the games. I have heard the games are fun if one plays soccer or watch the games. I just want to know if you caggers can tell if I might enjoy it.

Wahoo, the thing about soccer games is the play of the game is mainly interesting because of the stories of teams and/or players. In the past FIFA was known for its more arcade-like play and Winning Eleven more management and realistic play. FIFA07 looks do be different than it has in the past and WE07 is a polished updated port. I started playing soccer games not knowing much about the background involved. I would suggest hopeing for a demo on 360 or trying the demos on PC.
Peace

i think futbol games are awesome multiplayer. its so much fun playing 5v5 or 4v4 or even 2v2. if you want to go easy and arcade go Fifa but if you want a challenge and play a game with more realism and difficulty than its Winning Eleven. I lose the heart to play if im blowing the team out by 6 goals where as WE makes you work for them. if you want quick fun than Fifa but if your a nut about soccer than WE.
West Ham United is now my team of choice after seeing Green Streat Hooligans. I love bubbles.
good movie...Green Street Elite yeah?

Good movie, though I prefer Fever Pitch (1997). Too bad the hammers are going to be the next chelski with another russian looking to take over. Anyone thinking about getting PES if it ends up being region free? I wish I had set release dates for WE07 and FIFA07. Looks like FIFA is going to be 3 Nov.
