Anyone remebre that old show Eurekas Castle?

Does Ahhh! Real Monsters still play on Nick? If anyone knows..
I wish all those old shows still played regularly.
Most of them do, at least for me. There is Nick Game and Sports channel that has all the old game shows on it. Plus there are channels that show dougs, real monsters and a couple others. Though no Are you afraid of the dark for some reason....

Do you remember a game show for kids, that if they won they got like a ton of video games. I remember kids used to win tons of boxes of games and systems. I have no idea what the show was called though
Yeah I remember this too. The final segment of the show had kids put on velcro suits, and then go around a videogame store and try to stick as many games to themselves as possible. Whatever was on them, they kept. Man, what I wouldn't have given to have been on that...
well thats the show, lets see if someone can help with the name
The show was called Video Power.

Hey, the host of this was the same as the host of American Gladiators for kids show with the Agrocrag (have we figured out the name yet?). Come to think of it though, he hosted a lot of the kid's game shows in Nickelodeon.

On another note, Nickelodeon used to be awesome. Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, You Can't do that on television, Welcome Freshman(I can't believe no one has mentioned that), Clarissa Explains it All, Pete & Pete (I found this show to be an acquired taste), Are You Afraid of the Dark, that station was built on these shoes. Now about the only decent thing thats on there is Spongebob, definetly not a substitute for these shows, and I'm not ashamed to say that if they were to come out on DVD, I'd get them in a second.

the show with the agrocrag was Guts and global guts. and the host was mike o'malley. and dont forget MO! the chick that was the referee. that accent of hers was hot

This is why I love BitTorrent. Through it, I've been able to get seasons of Fresh Prince of Bel Air, two seasons of Pete and Pete (which added up to 5GB total, ouch).. and X-Men: The Animated Series~! (10GB.. ouch!!)

I love downloading old TV shows..

Me too, but I seriously need a new hard drive. I'm thinking I need about another 200 gigs or so.

I have a feeling my kid brother, Butch Hartman, and Butch Hartman's Mom would kick your butt for saying that...
Fairly Oddparents is a cornerstone on Nick now...
My kid brother adores it, Butch Hartman is the animator on it, and Butch Hartman's Mom lives down the street and loves to talk with my kid brother and the neighborhood kids about her son's show.

So do you really want to make a young child, an old lady and a hardworking animator sad?

same here, hopefully there will be episodes of Salute your Shorts popping up on BitTorrent

yo yo heres what you need. Gullah Gullah Island with some Allegras Window thrown in, Then finish off with little bear, franklin, and rupert. After hours can be muppet babies. Aight.
best game show ever that again none of u guys will remmeber cause u r too young it was called "funhouse" with host JD Roth that now hosts that survior for middle school kids show on NBC at like 12 noon on sat mornings(forget what its called) anyway funhouse had the 2 cheerleader twins oooo myyy godddd ang bang bang bang bgai bang
Jesus Christ that brought back memories. I remember watching JD Roth and thinking he was a total dork. My friends and I used to watch that show just to make fun of him.

And cag1000, I remember all of the shows you are talking about. The fact that some of these people are talking about "Doug" as old school is reminding me that I'm getting old!

Remember "Out of Control" on Nick with Dave Coulier?

I miss the old live action shows on weekday afternoons like Sigmund the Seamonster, the Buggaloos, Land of the Lost, etc. Those were classic! I think it was called Kroft Superstars Hour or something like that.

I remember during those shows on channel 11, WPIX, they had this contest where kids would call in to the station and play a videogame over the phone. It was kinda like asteroids with a spaceship in the middle and stuff flying at you. The kids had to yell "PIX" to get the ship to fire at the oncoming crap, it was hilarious.

I think channel 11 was a local NYC channel. The "11" in WPIX were the Twin Towers.

DarkWing Duck, that show was so great, but they never showed it at popular times.

Pete & Pete, fuck Nickelodeon, nuff said.
Count Duckula
Count Duckula was awesome!
Nick used to show some great cartoons, Danger Mouse, Banana Man, City of Gold (I think that's what it's called).

Also, forget Gullah Gullah Island and Eureaka's Castle lovers, the best was Pinwheel!!!

Does anyone remember Special Delivery (I think that's the name). The one with the manaquin that came to life?

Salute Your Shorts, Welcome Freshmen, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, and Clarissa Explains it All were all spectacular. Pete and Pete still holds up after watching it now. It was just really clever, really weird, really funny stuff.

Pete& Pete was awesome, only available on VHS (crap). Artie's battle against "Rolling Thunder" is still the greatest thing I have ever seen on tv.

Maya the Bee.
I learned not to hate cockroaches watching that show. Something about cute talking roaches just wasn't very intimidating.
Then it went off the air and now they creep me out again.
the show with the agrocrag was Guts and global guts. and the host was mike o'malley. and dont forget MO! the chick that was the referee. that accent of hers was hot
Yea I remember her accent a sweet British accent if I recall.
How come no one mentioned ALEX MACK?!!?!?!?!?!?! Man I wasn't diggin her on the show but she is hot now....
I definately remember her. Sometimes I found her show to be boring since it was serious like at times, but it was watchable.

I don't know of any bittorrents with old Nick shows.. but if anyone does know, do speak ^_^. I always use bit for my animes and having a few computers and a some network connection.. comes in handy to my dling needs.

Also Doug the old one Nick.. they had a like another season of it before on ABC in the mornings long ago maybe?.. so it never seem so old to me for some reason. But it's still a sweet show..

Does anyone know of this one show on Nick that had a lot of puppets and the puppets are big headed and so kooky weird.. and a certain puppet would eat a bunch of hot dogs.. not so sure the title, but it was like something mayorville or -ville.

Ah, now THOSE are the golden days of Nickelodeon. Especially Bannana Man and Dangermouse IMO. The other show you ar talking about is "Today's Special". For some reason I can still remember how cool I thought it was when the mouse, Muffy's, music box came to life.

Thundercats are on the move...
Thundercats are loose.
Hear the magic, feel the roar,
Thundercats are loose.

Thunder Thunder Thunder Thunder cats...
Thunder Thunder Thunder Thunder cats.....

I remember that Video Power show, I think it was on at 7 am in my area so I didn't watch it often but that last segment where they had to run through the game area and attach all those games to their velcro vest, looked like it would be awesome.

Funhouse used to be one of my favorite shows. I even have the NES game of it (which was nothing like the show). I always wanted to be on that show and run through the Funhouse grabbing all of those cash and prize tags. Some of it looked awesome like that waterslide in the middle of the funhouse or that tube that spun around that usually had a cash tag in it.

yes funhouse was the utter shit
and the 2 cheerleader twins on the show made it better

but anyone remember my secret identity it that kid (forget his name) fat kid from stand by me he read comic books and had the spray cans to fly
that show is classic along with the greatest american hero

mask would be a nice dvd boxset that i really want

Thundercats! Bring em back! Chetara was cool! What was the kids names.

Liono
Cheatara
Mumra
Snarf

Can't rember the rest!

Man nick did have cool shows. I forgot about guts and myan adventure and slute your shorts

Oh hell yeah forgot all about weinerville! Pee wee on crack!

 omg; when my son was younger he was addicted to Eurekas Castle...I personally loved the bat that would wreck into the castle..I think his name was Quagmyer or something?
I DEFINATELY agree that they need to bring back more of the older cartoons for kids and i'm sure they will considering Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc. are now appearing in our local toy stores. Speaking of Fraggle Rock I just seen it in the $5.50 Walmart dvd bins. I also saw Punky Brewster(the series) on dvd there; also Transformers can be found at Kmart on vhs for $3.50.
Just in case your looking :)

I dunno if it was mentioned, but I used to love Wild and Crazy Kids. That and Hey Dude, Pete and Pete and Are you afraid of the dark.

Wild and Crazy Kids was a cool show, that's another show show I always wanted to be on, especially the episode where they went to Magic Mountain and had to go on Colussus and hold a cup full of water and try not to spill it.

They brought back the show in 2002 but it was horrible compared to the old show and it was cancelled within a few months.

Come on you guys should know Thundercats wasn't on Nickelodeon. In case you didn't notice this thread was about how Nickelodeon carried quality shows.

Just kidding, I didn't mind Thundercats that much back in the day. On a side note, if you catch it at the right time, it is one of the few 80's cartoons that's still broadcast (in its original form not remakes). It really late at night but it is still on.

Its not all about nick. just happened that way! They did have some cool shows though! I miss em. It allso just happens that they cartoon i hate the most spongebob is on nick. I really like the comedy central show drawn together where they make fun of him. And the gay link is pretty funny too.
