Anyone seen this xbox auction yet?

Wow 0 feedback, not any mention of what you get and what condition it's in.. the way the description reads it could possibly be just the box.

Wow... it really IS just the box. That's going to leave some seriously pissed off bidders.
 
WTF? do the people bidding on that know that it is just a box and not the console. I would not pay 105+ for the box when I have seen the clear green case on ebay for 55 bucks and the box what you are selling for 30 bucks on ebay.
 
Lots of people don't read the auction descriptions. They just skim the through them. Catch a phrase of what they are looking for and bid.

Remember the PS2 launch? I believe someone sold a box for over $700. The lady who won complained to eBay and seller, but it was clearly stated in the auction and auction title. She was screwed. Hehe.

People who don't read the description carefully enough deserve what's coming to them. Live and learn.

He never states that it's just the box. He says he bought the Xbox, it came in a box, it's the perfect gift. He never says the "it" is the box and not the XBox. It's obvious to me and you, but obviously not to others.
 
I JUST NOTICED SOMETIHNG in the little description box it says platform MICROSOFT XBOX and by the title item specifics it says VIDEO GAME SYSTEMS. should it not be under accessories.

Yeah but the title of the auction is "XBOX Halo Special Edition Collectors Item Box"...

True. It's still very misleading though.

It looks like some people have retracted their bids. Wasn't it higher than $102 before?
 
Yes, but I believe the name of the console causes more confusion than would have happened with the PS2. I think that you could fight that the "box" means the x box.
 
Hey, honestly. If I could sell a box of something for basically what it would cost to buy the sysem new... why not? I mean if we don't take advantage of stupid people, who will? I read it and it says "box". I mean, come on. I think the top bidder won't pay it though. It is still crazy though. Funny, but crazy. Also in all honesty, the box ain't really that special. I sell em at work (the actual Xboxs). I think they could have put some better box art on it.

I concur, but the others that were bidding on it must feel kinda silly for almost wasting $100.

Those were my thoughs. An ebay vigilante! Ive seen lots of those on ebook/information only auctions.
 
actually, one seller said he paid. But he also said he didn't pay for a diff. auction. I love the comment "told me he not paying also to wait for his welfare check what?? ". That cracks me up...
