Anyone ship to Mexico? Isn't two weeks enough?

I did my first international sale and shipped the package exactly 2 weeks ago. I emailed the guy and he said he didn't receive it yet but will leave + feedback when he gets it. Does it normally take this long? I shipped it Global Priority which estimates 4 - 6 days and Mexico is practically a neighbor.

You can send Global Priority to anywhere in Mexico, though I strongly suggest sending nothing at all there. It seems almost everything either takes forever or doesn't show up.

No 2 weeks really isn't that long to Mexico. It really really varies on shipping times. Sometimes 1 week, sometimes a month. I hated gambling on shipping it there, so I stopped.
Global Priority mail only goes to Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara...right? You did send to one of those cities?
Is the town below one of those cities?

I did see on USPS' website that Global Priority only goes to those 3 cities, but I wasn't sure if the above was part of Mexico City. I asked the Postal clerk and she said it would be okay.

I think Im a whopping 0 for 4 on Mexico packages - none of them claimed to have received, though they also didnt file paypal disputes so I have no idea if any of them were lying or telling the truth. I won't ship there anymore

I only shipped there once because the guy had good feedback (150+ and not any negatives) and it took about a week using Air Mail. Seeing these posts, I don't think I'll ship there again

Shipping to mexico is pretty much a crap shoot. Not only is there a high rate of theft there is also very strict customs. for example you cant send chocolate, shoes or any leather goods. If the item is from china then forget about it. Items made in china will most likely be returned and if not get an insane terrif. like 1000% or some thing equally rediculous. This is because china and mexico are in direct compitition for the manufacturing of goods.the only way id send anything to mexico is if it was extremly urgent and id use DHL. They have the best record as they are the sole carrier and dont subcontract it out.

Lovely, I guess my shit got hijacked. On the customs forms, I wrote that they were DVD movies, checked off "gift," and put $30 as the total value. I'm hoping nothing shady happened because its not like I sent a $200 PSP.

Ugghhh, I hate shipping overseas.

I've sent stuff to Ireland, Europe, one I think to India, Australia, Canada eh, Mexico, and a couple other countries.

I've always had the best experience with Canada, obviously b/c they're closer to us and more reliable ^^.

The rest are a mixed bag, although I've never had any lost packages. The only bummer is knowing you've paid for global priority 4-6 days, but it will take two weeks.

EMS is the way to go if you ever send packages internationally, although a bit pricey.

UPS is also very good when it comes to international, as you can track the packages and know an ETA of delivery.
