Staring watching Borgias on Showtime and really enjoyed it. It about Pope Alexander VI and his family during the late 15th century. One of his sons is a Cardinal, the other is the general of the Papal army and his duaghter is good looking. Lots of deceit, violence and sex. Season 1 just ended and Season 2 will start sometime in 2012.

Just started watching Shameless via Showtime on-demand. About a wacky poor family in Chicago headed by a drunk (William H Macy). Only up to episode 5 but very funny so far.

Anyone else watching these?

We watched the Borgias. It was alright. Nice production value. Though unnecessary sex scenes and the history of things don't fall correctly in timeline. I understand you need to change it up for entertainment purposes but since this is a period piece they should try and go as accurate in timeline as they can.

Borgias was sick just to see the assassin go to work. Reminded me so much of AC:B, especially since he used a cloak to cover his sword in later episodes. Other than that, Jeremy Irons was pretty badass but the sex scenes were way too frequent. There is one episode where I could swear the entire thing was just hopping from one bed to the next.

Great show, but I doubt I'll ever own it. Pretty much done with Showtime until the next season of this and Californication.
