anyway to get refunded on an accidently purchase?

while i was watching a movie i pretty much sat on my controller and it somehow bought me monkey island 2. the game does look neat but i wasnt ready to buy it hehe. is there a way i can maybe get my points back?

ps i know about the cap no refund, but bla i didnt even intend to buy it, i most likely going to keep the game but what if that happens again. mean i commonly find my xbox on randomly because of something like that =p
 
no because that's a pretty big bs story. you'd have to hit the guide button, exit to dashboard, bring up the games menu, bring up that specific game, click buy full game and click buy.

as far as it happening again.. if you're not smart enough to avoid sitting on a controller, you deserve whatever game your ass buys you.

hehe i not bsing i pretty much sat on the controller, well not me but like between a cushion . :) and monkey island is like the 1st game in the spotlight thing which im sure it's how it happened .
 
I do not believe you either, but the fact that you are a guy (I assume) and you keep putting hehe is enough to warrant punishment.
 
MS loves when this stuff happens :) I've accidentally bought a Family guy episode just because I was previewing a bunch of Episodes and pressing the buttons without totally looking at what was happening.
Good thing it was the one I was leaning towards.. lol

You had to go through multiple screens to purchase Monkey Island. I have a very hard time believing that your ass magically hit the right combination of buttons that purchased the game, especially while you were watching a movie. Just admit that you fucked up and move on.
 
Yea I agree, you have to go thru so many menus just to get to the buying screen...its a pain yes, but it is to minimize shit like this from happening.

I admit I have accidentally bought something I didn't want. It was when there was some free skins/aircraft for Ace Combat 6. I guess I was tagging the free contact too fast that my dashboard lagged a bit and I over tagged one over and into one that was not a free one...got stuck with a plane with a stupid paint job..but I didn't complain or request a refund. Learned my lesson and now take my time in buying stuff from the market place.

What he said. No way your ass could go though that many menus unless you have a magical ass which I don't believe you do. :nottalking:
 
Happened to me too. A DLC for fallout 3 was the front page deal (so when the xbox turned on it was the item the window was first at).


I turned on the 360 and forgot about it. Few hours later and I see that I purchased the DLC. I guess it pressed against the couch...
 
that's why you shouldn't be button smashing and let this be a lesson learned to all others. were you sleep walking and somehow just woke up and started to make the purchase? don't think there is a way to get a refund.........although...nvm :)
