Apparently, Dragonball GT Final Bout is being re-released on 8/24 for $ 15

From what I understand Infogrames own the rights now to all the DBZ crap. Hence all the new DBZ games. I believe this is just a rerelease and I am sure it will have the infogrames name on it. If you owned the game wouldnt you rerelease it?

Infogrames will make a ton of money vs the ebays which they dont make a dime from. I am just glad I sold my last copy about a year ago for $400.
I'm just curious what kind of person it was that spent $400 on it
The kind I want bidding on my auctions. I heard someone on gamefaqs say that one copy went for like $535 recently.

I wonder if people will be able to tell the difference between this printing and the old one, and if that'll sustain the value (sort of like comics and reprints).

Infogrames was bought out by Atari, so Atari's name will be on it.

Didn't Infogrames buy the Atari name, and are now using it on everything to sell more than they otherwise would?

Regardless, Atari will doubtless be the name on the package.

It's still popular, just not as much as it used to be. I can't speak for all DBZ fans but I stopped being fanatical about the series since DBZ ended and DBGT began.

My friend had the game and burned me a copy. Worst graphics ever... :(
I only paid 15 bucks though :D But if you want a dbz fightin game get budokai 2 or wait for budokai 3.

You paid $15 for a burned game?

Haha, what a joke. That game's been losing value ever since the announcement of the Budokai games, going from $550 one summer to $100. Now it'll be $30 or so, and not worth shit.

So, if anyone still is out there, thinking, "WHOAMG!!!shift+1!111!eleven!! NEW DBZ GAME LOLOL," don't. I bought the import a long time ago, and unless you like to press an attack button, and sit, and wait, for the press to be recognized, then do the right thing and pass on it. Trust me, that ain't "strategy"; it's lazy-ass, sloppy programming.

In short, the game is how everyone else has put it. Someone at Bandai took a collossal binary shit, put it on a disc, and morons have been paying half a thousand dollars for it ever since. Don't be one of those idiots.

Agreed

Well, considering this new print has different cover art then the original...

Here's the new cover:

Ah, I had no idea.

Hmmm... This will be interesting to track.

rereleasing this, only helps support the common knowledge that dbz games suck... which most do

At least the first budokai and log2 were decent.

I bought a blank cd for my friend to copy it when it first came out over here and I STILL paid too much money for it.

When you wade past the 5 different forms of Goku, all with the exact same attacks and attributes, fight your way to the end of the game where you fight Baby that looks like a total of 8 polygons, its kind of a letdown...

Don't even get me started on the "Build your character" mode.
