Apple iPod..price drop!

The new ones are pretty much mini's with more space...And I think the mini's click wheel is crap...I have a gen. 2 30 gig. ipod and I love it...just wish it would support OGG VORBIS

I think Hewlett Packard (sp?) is coming out with an mp3 player..so Apple lowered their prices..

Ipods really aren't worth it unless you want a really cool MP3 player. There are ones out there that are cheaper, sound better, and have more storage. If you only care about how it looks and that it goes with iTunes, then get it. Otherwise, get something else...

Apple stuff is quality...and I had a 30gig for about a year and sent it back cuz I dropped it and fucked up the disc drive and they sent me a brand spankin new one for free...even though I had broken it...They have quality products and good customer service

That's not a price drop. It's a new model. They did this for every new model - before the current generation, iPods were $300 for 10 GB, $400 for 15 gb, and $500 for 30 gb.

I'm not saying it's a bad player, but it's a lot like Apple's othe products. Good and flashy, but highly overpriced compared to competitor's stuff. And it's cheapassgamer, but coolassgamer...

I have a 3rd gen 15 gig and I would take it anyday over the new one I hate the click wheel. and it is ugly white and gray don't go well with each other.
so what's gonna happen to the 15 gig model?
I think they stopped makin' em now that the newer versions are out. Your only choices now are the 20 and 40 gb with the new scrolly wheel =T

Oh, does anyone know if there's a big difference between the mini iPod's wheel and the other touch sensitive wheel?

Yeah, iPods are good if you can get them to work; spent so much time gettin my moms to work it's not funny. And I'm pretty computer-literate. Had to buy another firewire card, no luck. Reinstalled iTunes about 5 times, no luck. Talked to the Apple people; no luck.

this also makes the 4GB for $249 Ipod Mini look even more rediculous, increasing the gap to 16GB more for only an extra $50
