Awesome. I've actually been kicking myself for not picking this up last time they were on sale. Thanks for the heads up!
I paid full price for Vietnam and it was worth every penny. Definitely check this out if you haven't!
Funny I felt the exact opposite. I didn't even pay full price for it (mind you I got it on the PC).

The style is cool, but the maps are tiny and ridiculously confined. You will see large sprawling fields in many levels, but God forbid you actually want to walk in them. From what I saw you are extremely limited to where you can move and only small corridors are allowed. BC2 had some of this, but it just seems far more pronounced in Vietnam.

Sorry, I'm with adayinthelife, Vietnam is fantastic. I love the maps, I enjoy all the guns, and it's nice to be able to take helicopters down with regular guns, so they don't completely ruin a match if only one team has a good pilot.

My experiences with the Vietnam DLC match both imcrazy's and adayinthelife's. Know however, that I only play Conquest. Like adayinthelife, the amount of time/fun you will have playing is worth it, especially at half price. However, as imcrazy pointed out, in conquest, there are only 2 levels that usually don't end up with one team dominating as the result of a bottleneck (Phu Bai and Operation Hastings). Further, the losing team leaves once the bottleneck has been established. If you liked the vanilla game and have been wanting to play again, you'll love the change in scenery and weapons.

Vietnam == A+++++

You are straight up dumb if you dont pick it up for HALF OFF (if you have BFBC2 that is :p)!

I picked it up at full price and LOVE it. I dont know wtf imcrazy is talking about up there with the small maps. The maps are big, and compared to CoD they are freaking enormous...

I love the maps, I love the guns, I even love all the nuances like the new loading screens and credence playing at the title screen. They went all out with this DLC and it is very worth 600 MSP. It is easily worth the full 1200 MSP, so 600 is a joke. In my book it is a must buy at this price.

not supposed to compare to cod but to bc2 regular

on pc it seems you get sniped much easier with people using assault rifles & other guns, plus you could corner the enemy at spawn with a good offense

I can just turn on iTunes and play BC 2 with CCR playing. I thought everyone hated the WW 2 - Vietnam stuff. It's played out. Why does everyone like this?

Has anyone seen a good price on BFBC2 anywhere? I'd love to pick up the Vietnam pack if I could just find the game for a reasonable price...

You might want to check out a few Staples stores. I lucked out and got a new copy for $17. With that said, the dlc code for Vietnam ends today, unfortunately.

I have to definitely buy points today

Already got it all aside from the avatar crap and Forza packs. Still, there are some great arcade titles there including Toy Soldiers and Magic the Gathering that I'd jump on if I could!

anyone have the South Park TD game and can share an opinion on it? I heard its incredibly hard to solo through as its geared toward co-op play...truth to this?

but anyways have everything else I'd want/need. Good deals though...

I absolutely LOVED South Park TD, but I did play through the entire game 2 player.

Some of the levels can be tricky, depending on what difficulty level you're on, but if you're good at TDs, you can maze in this VERY well, and even if you're just playing single player, you still pull 4 South Park characters in with you, so you get to use all 4 "special powers" as well as place them around the map to do extra damage.

Ultimately playing 2 player, you can get every achievement, even the MANBEARPIG one, but I'm not sure about getting that one by yourself.

If it were Bionic Commando Rearmed I might be inclined to grab it. However since it is the sequel, nevermind.

Hmm, I still wanted Braid. But it looks like the Xbox marketplace is now broken for non-Silverlight users, and my Xbox isn't going to be connected this week. So I guess XBLA is now dead to me. Oh well, one more reason I should just pirate stuff I guess.

I just can't fathom paying for a TD game, no matter how good it is.

It depends on the person. One of my friends did the whole game all by himself with little to no problem, but I had quite a bit of difficulty with it when playing solo. I would highly suggest it, but moreso if you have someone to give you a hand with it. It's fun, and if you're a fan of South Park it's just that much better.

Braid, Snoopy Flying Ace, Limbo and Trials HD. All mine. Maybe Magic: The Gathering as well.

Whaaaa where was ilomilo listed? My eyeses can't see it. If it is I'm with ya on that one.

It's for next week; I'll definitely be grabbing that as well.

yes its so hard to either a) just download Silverlight or b) plug in your Xbox...makes perfect sense to just pirate games out of sheer laziness on your end. Hopefully you're 360 gets the last laugh and red-rings the next time you turn it on

~

and I'll be all over Ilomilo as well...can't wait for it

a) I'm not installing a plugin exclusively for Microsoft's vanity. Their site worked perfectly pre-Silverlight, and has no functionality increase from it's implementation.
b) If I could at this moment I would. I have the points on my account and everything. And red-rings would just be another reason to go to the other side. My current 360 is only around a year old, and really shouldn't fail. I could repair it just as well as MS can, if not better when freeing myself from the limitations of stock parts. Not that I'd bother when it's under warranty though... I'm just pointlessly bitching because I happen to hate Silverlight.

Limbo is also really tempting. Maybe I can go get my 360 and drag it to a friends house on the 15th...

Hmm? Perhaps scriptblock is screwing up something despite me whitelisting the page...? The sign-in up in the corner just locks up saying "Loading...", and any of the relevant links required to purchase aren't working. Clicking on them does nothing. Odd, I guess I'll try harder to see if I can get anywhere.

I don't think Silverlight is the problem. I use the Flashblock add-on (Firefox), turn on the option to block Silverlight, and I don't have any issues with the xbox website. Well, I should rephrase that -- no technical issues. The site is ugly, slow, and I really dislike the search and sorting options, but it does work.

Time to finally buy Limbo!
Heads up! These deals are now live!

I'm in for Peggle nights also.
Played Limbo last night. I enjoyed playing it with my husband as we both commented of the tragic deaths of the boy.

I totally LOVED the first half of Limbo but I felt like the second half was less good. Cool game, though, definitely.

I bought Peggle Nights awhile back, thinking "this will never go on sale!" Shows me, I guess.
