I've always wanted to have one of these, especially the Simpsons arcade game. While I'm not really looking to buy online, (though maybe Craigslist) do you guys know of any strategies to get an arcade machine cheap?

This is just ONE place I've seen online. Their prices aren't in the $300 range though, as I think the cheapest machines I've seen are $3k. But, as you said, there's also CL, but you'd have to go to Philly to see the machines this one seller on CL has. He had an ad up for a LONG time showing a garage full of old and restored games.

Here's the top place I found, however as I said they're pretty expensive($3k being the lowest): http://www.arcadegamesuperstore.com/helpdesk/Company.html

They have warehouses in NJ and PA, so they may have one close to you. I didn't see the Simpsons arcade game in their lineup though.

Also, you may want to check out any arcades you may still have in your area, since they may be selling the machines for a cheap price.

I wish I had had the $$$$$ back when our one arcade went out, since they were selling Mat Mania, Karate Champ(the dual stick version) and Kidniki: Radical Ninja, which I grew up playing and loved.
I paid like $700 shipped 5 years ago for my Neo Geo cabinet. I bought it n Ebay
Thanks to both of you, and I also have Pro Evo 2008. Hit me up for a game if you're on, even though I heard the game's horribly laggy online.

Japanese candy cabs are the best! You just need to keep an out out on them because they go quick.

You can always have them imported or get them locally in the states.

Check out the link below. Good luck!
