Are ebgames/gamestop warranties worth it?

Depends on what you are buying.

All of them cover malfunctioning units. Basically, if your system is in good shape, but doesn't work anymore, they'll replace it. Of course, cracked screens on handhelds are NOT covered. Neither is water damage. Any another one which I don't see often, but I have seen it before is bug infestation.

GS/Eb warrantys are well, VERY limited on what they cover. they will cover defects to the system/game but cosmetic damages and other "non" manufacter defects are not covered.

so if you buy a gpg for your psp and there is a dead pixel? your out of luck.

where as if your psp's thumbstick/cap falls off it will be replaced.

prices go anywhere from 1-3 bucks a game, to 20-40 for a system. and they are covered for ONE year.

Usually not. At BB we were forced to sell warranties that cover, well, nothing.

I bought a used GC a few months back and they only charged me $10 for the warranty(which it came to $80). Bought it as a"just in case it breaks" type of deal.

I think it depends on the price of the system, cause I remember seeing people get GBA SPs with the $10 warranty too. So it's probably if under $100, it's $10, under $200, it's $20 and etc.

As for games, only get the warranty if you see that the disc is moderate/ heavily scratched or resurfaced beyond your expectations. That's what I do, unless it's either of those two, I won't buy one. And actually I think it's $5 for games $50 or above(basically new games).

Crappy thing about the warranty is after that first swap of defective items, that warranty is up unless you purchase another one. Which means if the game is messed up and you don't take it back within a week, you're fucked.:whistle2:?
