I'm finally going to buy a DS, but before I do, I was wondering if there are any rumblings of a new bundle (Animal Crossing perhaps)? I like the Mario Kart bundle, but red isn't exactly my favorite color.
 
I think an animal crossing bundle would have been annouced by now (just going by the other releases). If they're smart, they'll be some sort of Final Fantasy 3 bundle, and of course some "New Mario Bros." bundle...but other than that nothing really comes to mind... Except maybe the Japanese Pink DS with the Princess Peach game.
 
Don't forget a green Zelda bundle. There is a Zelda DS rumored or announced somewhere along the way, so its a possibility.

Dont forget Gold...its been a while since they've done a gold system for the US, and they already have a Gold one for Japan
 
So, I guess unless I want to wait for a while, I might as well just grab a Kart nundle. A black DS is what I really wanted, but I don't want to wait that long(must play Animal Crossing and Phoenix Wright before I 'splode). A NES/SNES eque one would be hella sweet as well.
 
the newest issue of nintendo power (#200) features a contest for an advance copy of metroid prime hunters and the graphite black DS... when combined with the earlier rumor of a metroid bundle... many people are assuming that this will be a new bundle... black DS and metroid hunters... it'll probably release around the same time as metroid, late march or early april.

granted, this isn't a guarantee. you could wind up waiting until then only to find nintendo not do anything. but given everything we know, i think this sounds like pretty solid evidence.

i am a bit surprised we haven't heard anything about the candy pink coming in a bundle with super princess peach in february. i guess it's still early. but given the success of the pink nintendogs bundle, and the complaints about US not getting candy pink (and getting pearl pink instead), and the seemingly perfect tie-in for the game and the color... i thought it was a no-brainer. perhaps it'll be a retailer exclusive or something, and announced closer to the release? wishful thinking...
 
I agree about the color of the mario kart bundle, I don't like that color of red. I ended up getting the electric blue ds, and I must say I like it. It's a good deep blue color and the bottom of it is black, I think it looks good.

I'm sure they'll release plenty more colors and bundles eventually, and sooner or later they'll probably make some minor changes to the ds itself, but who knows when.
 
I think maybe that E3 will not bring a redesign just more colors. Bundles are possible I could see a green one with Zelda, or a black one with Metroid.

I ended up biting on an Electric Blue DS. I agree, it's pretty snazzy looking and is a much richer color than what's on the box. This officially makes me the proud new owner of a DS! :bouncy: I'd love a graphite/black DS, but I can't wait that long.
 
Of the choices available here, I prefered the blue... no black in this area. BUT being the CAG that I am.... I opted instead to get the red bundle. It was $10 more than the blue DS and I REALLY wanted Mario Kart DS. It looked a little too toy-ish at first, but it's growing on me. I keep it in a black case when I'm not using it, so it's not sticking out like a sore thumb ALL the time.
 
I just talked to a girl at my Gamerush, and she said they have Metroid Prime/DS Bundle in stock.

Is this the bundle with the Metroid demo or have they came out with the new bundle with the full game?

Is the full game even out yet?

^^^ Nevermind, I just checked, it doesn't come out til March 06.

Crap, I wish I could find a Mario Kart Bundle at one of my Gamerushes.
