Are these comics worth anything?

I cleaned out my closet today and found a bunch of comics. I got these when i was like 10 i think i realy dont remember. Im not sure if they are worth anything or not but i need cash, and i know someone wants them .

here is a pic of them all..

with over 1000 comics dating back to fantastic four #5, I can safely say you can find those all in the $1-$3 back issues in most comic shops...I know for a fact that xmen 2099 #1 is at most a buck...I just got a copy for 75 cents

your best bet is to ebay them all individually and hope there are collectors needing to fill out sets...as a whole set though you're going to have a hard time

Sadly, comics from the 90's aren't worth squat. Neither are Marvel Masterpieces or other card sets of Marvel licenses. I did the bulk of my collecting during this time period too, so I'm in the same boat. The only way our stuff will be worth money is if thousands of collectors from the same period burn their collections, thus raising the level of scarcity of our items.

As you go back from the 90's, the value gets a little better. Comic books and related collectibles during the 80's were slightly better. Items from the 70's can be worth a bit if they are sought after. 60's, 50's and beyond are where the money is.

Those are some sweet comic books though. I don't why someone would pass up on them for somewhat above newstand prices.

I have to agree with DantheApe. If those comics were from the 1940's (DC Comics Heyday) or the 1960s (Marvel's first superhero comics) you would be sitting pretty. Best bet is Ebay. There you could find someone who really wants them and would be willing to pay for them.

There is a comic book shop in my town and there is always someone who comes in bring in comics that they found in a yard sale or found a stash that belonged to their kids. They think that they have hit the lottery. The guy who owns the shop will only buy golden or silver age comics (1930s - 1940s). Those comics are rare because few of them survived. Those comics you have can be found more easily.

Haha... yeah, I'm the 90s too. I think the 90s were THE worst period in comic book history. Crappy comics and high print runs glore! The new century comics were better but I kinda let the comic book scene by then. Of course, I was never really into it.
