Sadly, comics from the 90's aren't worth squat. Neither are Marvel Masterpieces or other card sets of Marvel licenses. I did the bulk of my collecting during this time period too, so I'm in the same boat. The only way our stuff will be worth money is if thousands of collectors from the same period burn their collections, thus raising the level of scarcity of our items.
As you go back from the 90's, the value gets a little better. Comic books and related collectibles during the 80's were slightly better. Items from the 70's can be worth a bit if they are sought after. 60's, 50's and beyond are where the money is.
Those are some sweet comic books though. I don't why someone would pass up on them for somewhat above newstand prices.
