So i went into my local game store (not a chain so lots of old games) and saw and new Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure (new). There was no price tag the the lady said teh game was wopping 70.29. I knew this game was new but i didnt have 73 bucks on me and nvr saw the price on ebay or amazon so went home and just looked up the price and saw i can get it for about 25 dollars new. So of course i was like wtf? These are the same ppl who i bought a used GHs FF Tactics off for 39.99 and ppl say that i got ripped off on that. So my question is what do u guys think. Its a small shop and the staff is always friendly. It doesnt seem like they try to rip u off or anything. There newer game are priced good (New and last gen) I just dont know. What do u all think

They might not have been trying to rip you off personally, but yes, that sounds like a huge rip-off.
 
Ripping Off I think is really losing money and getting nothing in return. What you are saying is more being over price. Tell them and see if they could lower the price but if not drop it. You seem to like the store, if one thing is over priced doesn't mean they are trying to rip you off.

Also the FFT seems to be about 30$ shipped on ebay so its not that bad.

Its about 45$ new from Ebay. The others are mint but not new.

Just because someone acts nice to you doesn't mean they have good intentions.
 
If you feel like you are getting ripped-off, then you probably are.

Most new stores start out like this. The fact is if you really want the item then pay the 73 dollars but if you don't know what you want then don't buy it.
Also who cares if they rip you off it is there store. They could charge infinity for any item and you will be paying 24/7
 
My first thought when reading the op's post...dude are you in austrailia (high prices ftl..!)

but now im guessing he's not as it seems to be very unusual to see that price

anyways, i suggest waiting slowly for it to drop in price unless of course some sucker gets it for $70+ then so be it...eventually if it doesn't sell they are bound to drop the price

you have to outdo the workers to show what a cag you are!

lol well i dont live in Austrailia. United States All the way woot!

i will post when i talk to them again about it. (its 2 hot here to bike out there today :cry:)
 
Most local used shops I have been in are quite overpriced, and I find I can buy games cheaper off ebay by just waiting for the right time to buy. If its cheaper on ebay even with shipping then why buy at the local place? They are not trying to rip you off personally they are just very overpriced.
 
Most people who don't know about video games but sell them either charge you ridiculously low prices ar ridiculously high prices.
