Are you a cheapassflipper?

lol "real job". I made $46,000 last year at my "fake job". Buying stuff at flea markets and thrift stores and generally hunting treasures down. That seems real enough to me...
lol. 46k is like 1st year out of college money.
Well I guess it's good that I'm also in school right now as well...

If I know I can make at least 300% profit on a game, I'll buy it and flip it. Otherwise, I only buy what I think I might play. Back when I was a stay-at-home dad, I was a little less discriminating. If I could net just 100% profit off a game (after fees, shipping, what-not), I would totally flip it. Clearance shopping and reselling gave me quite the nice chunk of supplementary income while out of work.

Haha, aren't you also an NFL player? Lol, just messing with you.

haha, yeah times are tough in NFL too!
Some of us would be content enough with HALF of that.:booty:
Nah, 46k is nothing obviously. I drop in the bucket.

If there is money to be made, people will flip. That's just the reality.

It sucks when you want ONE of something, and people hoard multiples. But, if you want something you have to try to get in on it early. If you get on it too late, everything will be picked clean.

I think there has been a huge increase in resellers looking for things to resell.
Time to check and keep an eye on who answered yes to the poll question..... ;)
;)As you most likely know by now I have twin trade bans from both BB and GS, so I'm sorta semi retired from flipping as of this point.:D

I've been saying this for a while now. But it still seems like folks wait till Saturday night at 8:50pm to try and get in on a sale price and then they blame flippers/hoarders when there's none left. You definitely have to get there early to get a deal sometimes or else if it is a great deal it'll be gone if you wait too long.

Even worse is when people see a clearance price and think that they can just wait for one more drop. They come back 3 weeks later and then blame El Hoardo for taking them all.

Times are tough. Tony Stark can't even get an entry level job.

Yeah. Oftentimes I see a deal way too late since I'm working or not checking the forums enough. I'll try if I think I have a realistic chance, but I don't blame hoarders at this point, I blame my lateness. Even without hoarders deals will still sell out even if ideally there is one per customer. Just the nature of business.

I also think what happens with things like Skylanders, is that hoarders and flippers put in work to get as many as they get. They call stores, check constantly, etc. If I really wanted something I would try to do the same thing, even if my intentions are to keep and enjoy something rather than flip. It really is a matter of time, and how bad I want something.

That's not a real job or a fake job...it's a modern-day Suburban Indiana Jones adventure! I'd watch the reality show, I'm sure it would be better than American Pickers.

haha, I wish it was that exciting! I had images of my bloated self wearing an Indy hat and switching a bag of sand with what I find on the shelves. Then running out the store with the treasure while the natives (the various miscreants and vagabonds that inhabit seedy thrift stores) chase me down. Completely ridiculous. (but that would make a good opening credits):whee:

46k was first year out of college money 10 years ago. Most people today are lucky to make minimum wage first year out of college today.
